Samplitude: Best sounding Daw?

Just read the April edition of Sound On sound where Samplitude Pro X is reviewed. Tilman Herberger, co-creator of Samplitude (first version was on the Amiga) says he is "Skeptical about the notion that there are no sonic differences between audio programs. There was a test that was done a few years ago by a music conservatory, where they compared digital audio workstations - only the mixing(ie. summing) of the tracks - and then they made a really good blind listening test...mixing via simply passive resisters ...and we won."
I have always thought/heard that Samplitude sounded better...out of the box even though I use all major DAWs. I know there have been many "No DAW sounds better" threads here but I thought Tilman's quote was interesting.

The problem here is that Mr. Tilman is the only "witness" that came forward...... And the fact the only MuLab sound better, so there you have it.... False testimony

A-ha....a few years ago - when there were no other DAWs. Well, we're into the 2nd decade of the 21st century where technology and the internet myth-informers have marched on. In case you missed it, we determined through extensive blind-faith testing just last week that Studio One is the best sounding DAW. These results were backed up by hours of extensive pontificating.C-note wrote:There was a test that was done a few years ago
In an unrelated, unscientific poll it was determined that Reaper is the most efficient DAW, but only in the blindsided testing.
Finally, after fastidious research and gut-wrenching conclusion-jumping, the experts over at the pseudo-science lab determined that Dm really is the saddest chord of all.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Jeez there's so many jokes in there i don't even know where to begin.
Samplitude: where 1+1 ain't 2. They call it progress,i call it one shitty calculator.
Samplitude: We also go faster than light. Mix today, deliver your master yesterday.
Samplitude: now finally with a plugin on the master you can't remove. I wanted that since.... hey i never wanted that. Why would i want that, that's just plain daft.
Samplitude: Simply passive resisters, what will we think of next.
Samplitude: Blind tests now reveal stupid,is that progress or what ?

one thing that isn't a joke is what a good host Samplitude has become, I just ignore techie pissing matches all together and cut to the chase...samp works for me and that's all that matters. IBTLSMSFSjupiter8 wrote:Jeez there's so many jokes in there i don't even know where to begin.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
