In your sequencer, set the number of staves to 2, there should be a preset option to have treble and bass clef. As it stands you have everything in one treble stave and very few people are going to read it without labor.

Which DAW perpetrated this mockery of the musical staff? :D

BTW as for the question itself, I'd try transposing it, and mirroring it or part of it. Changing melody around is a very intuitive thing, and something that you have to try and select the variation you like best.

"Valid" changes include (but aren't limited to):
* Transposing the melody
* Mirroring part or whole of it, ie. when there is a step up in the original, you do an equal move down. (But stay in key! Up a third from VI is minor, down a third from VI is major!)
* Reversing part or whole of it, ie. playing it backwards.
* Shifting it around on the meter, placing other notes on the beat, changing note lengths and rhythm.
* Modulating it into minor (or into major from minor).
etc.

Lol. Who do you think is going to be able to count that accurately? :D
Unfamiliar words can be looked up in my Glossary of musical terms.

If it's exactly the same after transposing... you are tone deaf. If it's exactly the same after shifting you didn't save and or you are working from a right only file.

He wants to change the notes, not the overall pitch of the note pattern he already has. This should help:
