Hi!

I went for a walk over the park today with the dog. I took my md recorder and an experimental mike.

This is what I did. The samples are in 96k mp3 and are zipped into 3 files.

The mumblings are me talking to the dog....and yes, I know she's deaf!

Please forgive mumbling 07. I was out of puff going up a steep bank to the road!

First of all, thanks for posting the samples. They're great and very useful (and inspiring, too. Must get recorder)
I'm currently building a couple of tracks using nothing but these samples, AudioMulch and a bunch of plugins.

I posted the first finished (more or less, anyway) result here.

Just dl-ing it, cant wait to hear what you've done with them.

The park is in Sheffield and is called Norfolk Park after its previous owner The Duke of Norfolk. It was the very first park in the country to be given over to the people to use. Now friggin renamed Norfolk Heritage Park.

It is just down the road from another famous place "The Manor" where Mary Queen of Scots was held before her execution!

you know, i never cruise this forum on KVR. but when i glimpsed the title "Park life samples" out of the corner of my eye from the right-hand side, i thought, "oh goodie! a thread about one of my favorite Blur albums." little did i know, it was just about samples of dogs and such. oh, the deception....
