Last year I said on KVR that we would have 64-bit CSR this year. And we intend on sticking to that. In fact... there may be a few surprises in th e works with CS R.

Awesome. There was a rumor here that it was getting dropped from the lineup. Glad to hear it's being kept on the roster.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Last year I said on KVR that we would have 64-bit CSR this year. And we intend on sticking to that. One thing I didn't like about CSR is that to get at different algo you have to load a different plugin. Why is that? Why not just having the different algo on a drop down, or a slider, so that you can keep your settings if you just want to try the sound of a different algo?
Can't see a logical reason for that.

No, that wasn't me.

i have tried the demo a long time ago and loved it but it was always too pricey for my student ass, but now that they have discount i finally bought my dream reverb! i hope x64 comes soon because although it has no problems running under REAPER bridge, i'd still love a native version (firewalling and GUI embedding is less crash resilient...).
any hints on those surprises?
new algos? "all-in-one" plugin similar to what bullshark mentioned?
any hints on those surprises?
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

All will be revealed in good time. We are still a ways away from it being ready, so it's a little too early to start getting too anxious about it.

Brian, you guys could be saving yourself a lot of anguish by putting out the word, on a broader basis, that we can expect 64 bit CSR sometime this year. Me, like a number of others on some other threads, have been complaining that IK gives NO guidance on 64 bit at all. I don't think I'm the only one who missed that communication last year. On the other hand, whenever I raise 64 bit issues on the IK forums, all I ever get is "we're working on it..it'll be great..can't say anything else". I have to believe you guys realize that customers have a legitimate right to at least estimates of when these 64 bit versions will be coming out. Can we expect a 64 bit Sampletank in 2012?

CSR is my goto reverb - I have Ios, Adverb and Valhallaroom but by far, my favorite is CSR. Here is more detail: http://ikmultimedia.com/csr/features/
It is currently on sale for $49.00 for the download version... very nice deal is a gross understatement.

Very true. My $1000 investment in IKM VSTs is unused. No, pls dont give me the bridge-talk. Give us modern 64 bit plugs and give your customers some concrete guidance about it. This would make a difference!LAGinz wrote:Brian, you guys could be saving yourself a lot of anguish by putting out the word, on a broader basis, that we can expect 64 bit CSR sometime this year.
