Maybe instead of non stop attempts to discredit Saurus in favour of DIVA[...]

To be fair, they kind of balance out Tone2's blatant attempts to do the reverse.
[...]we could stick to this being a congratulations thread
Congrats on the thread Tone2!

This.

My main criterion for judgement of a musical instrument or effect is whether it gets my inner child jumping up and down with excitement. Even if someone can prove "objectively" that product X is better than something you're excited about, what use is it if it won't inspire you?
This!

Example:
Objectively FilterScapeVA may not be "state of the art" anymore but it's one of my favorite synths nontheless.

Good decision Markus! Will that be implemented in the next version or is this already changed in the available demo version?

And Tone2's negative advertising was respectful?

Respect is earned.

Would you point this out to me please ?

Show me the exact section you are talking about ?

I'll have to check that out... I really like Tyrell from Urs. Oddly enough I like it much more than Zebra, Ace or Diva. Maybe his less polished efforts are more to my liking.

Tone2 wrote:The filters of competing products model no or only some aspects of the analog filter. They are only rough approximations - and that's why they will always sound more 'digital' and 'cold'.
Markus from Tone2.com wrote:Unlike competing products we have taken a lot of effort to keep the CPU as low as possible without lowering the sound quality.

Right, and that's directly mentioning other dev's or products how exactly ?

I think you read too much into it, and took a lot out of context. Nothing was mentioned directly. Seems people are a bit over sensitive about things.

Forget this advertising crap 8) We all know it was a mistake and moves a good product shortly to a bad product. I think Markus must learn to be more the "good guy" because he has excellent products and they don't need this bad vibes.
Let's look forward how this new synth could eventually improve our music ;)

It was never relavent really was it ? I mean you can read advertising, see pretty pictures, but where the sonic capabilities are the main reason you'd even consider this, then you judge with your ears correct ?

I mean what fool buys a musical instrument without hearing it first.

There's a big difference between the fan boy mentality and advertising.
Absolutely! And everybody has their own perception of these two strong terms.
LeVzi wrote:Do you see me popping up in other dev's threads running down their synths promoting Tone2 stuff ? No you don't. It's called respect for that dev. Something that hasn't been shown here hardly at all.
Agreed. And this is my turn to wish Tone2 all the best with their new synth!

Best wishes, Fritz

just a reminder, in case you forgot what actually made clear that the whole burp is directed against us:
Markus from Tone2.com wrote:we use a new and completely different approach than competing companies (like U-he) did. Our filters need low CPU, support self-osc, asymetric non-linearity (a k2 characteristic which is similar to the MS-20 filter) and have a very high precision.
I have faith that the marketing burp is defused soon, as I think was agreed.
