One thing in don't like on Reverberate are those jumpy knobs. When you click on them to adjust a value, they jump to the mouse pointers location immediately. Instead it should turn only when the mouse has been moved.

In settings, changing Dials Mode to linear gives that preferred response.
In Samplitude it always goes back to circular mode as default. How to make it default to linear? The other parameters on the settings page do retain their last settings though.

Are you saying that the actual setting in the Reverberate settings page is not being retained (i.e you set it to 'slider' mode and the words revert to 'circular' mode next time you load the plugin)? Or is it that the mode looks right in the settings tab, but isn't responding as you expect as though the host is over-riding whatever you choose? The former maybe I can help with, the latter probably not. I'm happy to take this question offline and run through a few registry edits you can make to see if this is a bug or just Samplitude over-riding the setting (contact me via the LiquidSonics support form, but the short of it is that HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/LiquidSonics/Reverberate (DialsMode key) should change when you make the edits where 0 is circular mode and 2 is slider mode).ericzang wrote:In Samplitude it always goes back to circular mode as default. Matt, I replied to your thoughts about distance in another thread. Perhaps you might consider an addendum to the Reverberate manual about this:

Thanks, a little in the manual about this is a good idea.Agemo wrote:Matt, I replied to your thoughts about distance in another thread. Perhaps you might consider an addendum to the Reverberate manual about this:

This is interesting, I wonder if a series of filters and delays linked up to provide additional delay beyond what is already provided would be a useful set of parameters for people wanting to make an IR sound more distant.Agemo wrote:This was the thread about distance I mentioned:

This update is now available in the publicly linked version for any other Samplitude users.ericzang wrote:Matt fixed my issue right away. More Kudos to LiquidSonics! +1111

Reverberate 1.770 has been released with a new filter tool called 'sheen' (accessed on the IRx-EQ summary tabs). When using some particularly dark IRs I noticed it wasn't really possible to brighten them up much using standard EQ tooling due to a lack of high frequency content. This new tool generates a synthetic IR using a broadband noise source and then windows it to approximate the shape of the loaded IR. This can then be mixed in to provide additional brightness to the existing IR.
Depending on the IR, when the new energy is mixed in this can sometimes quickly peak higher than the original IR which will cause the normalisation to effectively push down the amplitude of the original, often then reducing the perceived bass of the original (just in case anybody wonders why this can cause a perceived high-pass filtering effect).
I've got a some IRs that I like the 'shape' of but not the spectrum, so this gives them new uses.

Small update, the sheen control in Reverberate 1.771 now also affects the tail and early reflection modes too.
