And anyone have a clue about how soon they get back to you about crossgrade requests? I have a month I guess while the demo is active, but I'm impatient
I don't want to start projects that I can't later use basically. I think I've made my decision to buy.

How much are you planning on spending? You can pretty much buy new hardware and get into Producer for "free". I mean, unless you want Pro for the mastering section and video, you can likely spend $200 (VSL22), get the new hardware and S1 Producer, to be able to load your 3rd party plugs.

Producer by itself is about $179, so ... why not also get the hardware for another $20?

I just checked, that comes with Artist not Producer, and I have an interface that while not great regarding inputs, has next to zero latency (Line6 ToneDirect monitoring, also tied to my guitar plugin). Anyhow I'm hoping to get Pro for $300 with the crossgrade, and buy from a vendor that allows me to make 4 monthly payments (which keeps it off my wife's radar and within my monthly hobby budget).LawrenceF wrote:How much are you planning on spending? EDIT: I think I know why you thought it included Producer, on the Presonus site there is a link to a Producer upgrade form which states:
To get your upgrade, your AudioBox VSL interface must be purchased between November 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.

Did you actually read the link I posted?
I'm pretty sure it says "2012"...
Anyway, just trying to help.To get your upgrade, your AudioBox VSL or FireStudio Mobile interface must be purchased between 1 March, 2012 and 31 May, 2012. Entry e-mail must be
received at PreSonus by 30 June, 2012.

Sorry I read the one on Presonus' site. I'll try emailing sales and see what they say, I would think if it were current it would be posted on their site no? It seems kind of weird, is it only available to UK customers?LawrenceF wrote:Did you actually read the link I posted? I'm pretty sure it says "2012"...

I actually want the Pro version with Melodyne, I know I can upgrade later but it would be months before I could do that, and I do have an interface now. I know the best deal would be to get the interface with Producer, and later upgrade to Pro but the upgrade is $200, I rather spend $300 now for Pro.
EDIT:
Well here is Presonus' response:
Thank you for your interested in PreSonus.
Unfortunately this promotion is only for Europe.
We do have various promotions throughout the year and suggest you keep your eye on our website for anything that might be coming your way.

In FL Melodyne loads as an effect and is available as a rewire instrument.braj wrote:Cool, much appreciated!musikmachine wrote:I'm pretty sure melodyne single track shows up in other hosts but i'll check in a bit.
Anyone know about Rewire? I don't care too much because basically I just want to use it for that arp and I can transfer the midi manually but still, the implementation seems a little crippled to me, unless I'm missing something.
The rewire instrument likes to hide behind FL for some reason so everytime i click on show panel it won't appear but it's available as a vst plugin and in my plugin folder so it's the full version of essential just with the ARA integration in S1. Someone cmiiw!

Awesome, thanks for clarifying! That is like $80 off the price of S1 to me right there.musikmachine wrote:In FL Melodyne loads as an effect and is available as a rewire instrument.braj wrote:Cool, much appreciated!musikmachine wrote:I'm pretty sure melodyne single track shows up in other hosts but i'll check in a bit.

No worries! I had a hard time getting info when i was considering S1v2, an option to get the demo reset after new updates are released would be great as they seem to add a lot of new features each time. I never thought of creating another account, guess i must have good morals.
The amount of extra content you get is great as well and the user exchange is a damn good idea. Enjoy Studio One!

Yeah I'm not usually so sneaky but I had good intentions and wasn't trying to abuse anyone, so I don't feel bad. I only opened S1 a handful of times on two machines before the demo expired and really, I don't know anything better than getting your 'hands dirty' to learn if a tool suits you or not. Anyhow they have my money

Me too
One thing I have noticed are some of the midi issues I thought were because of my cheap old Oxygen8 and keystation keyboards seem to be resolved, I think Reaper's midi has definitely got some bugs, not noticeable with most plugins but for instance I would get stuck notes in Diva regularly, I haven't had a single one yet in S1 and also W2 Harmonizer would get 'dead' notes that I thought were because of my sloppy sometimes legato playing (it doesn't do legato) but they are also resolved. I was ready to get a new keyboard but I think it's all cool now
fingers crossed.

I hope one day will work for you too. It's really a great DAW. It feels like built on its own right rather then trying keeping up with the competition or with every crazy wish of the unsettled users.hibidy wrote:Hope it works out for you

Honestly there is no reason to dis other DAWs just to elevate Studio One. I like it for some certain features that I don't have in Reaper, but Reaper and other hosts have their own sets of features that trump Studio One in certain ways and for some usersliquidsound wrote:I hope one day will work for you too.
