I'll say it until I can't say it anymore - FL Studio is the best value package on the market today. I purchased my license during version 8 (I believe) and all the updates since then have saved me $1000+ of dollars.

The system just gets more and more stable with lots of interesting and USABLE features.

It does everything I could ever need and now I get some new toys to play with in the form of the performance mode. Would be great for a DROID app to act as a controller

Keep up the outstanding work, everytime you produce these extra features you are pushes the old fruityloops stigma as a toy far away from you and allowing people to take FL Studio as it is - a top of the line DAW plus much more.

Yes -

Right-click record and make sure 'Clips' are selected then just press Record before pressing Play.

Clips are then saved after the start marker as played.

I bought FL Studio at version 1.2!! I don't remember how much it was but couldn't have been more than 20$. Then there was that one upgrade to get the audio tracks.. was that version 2? Another 25$ or so.. after that, I've gotten every single update since then for free and it's evolved like no other DAW (well, except perhaps Reaper)!

It's by far the best purchase I've ever made in my whole life and it's also the program that has given me by far the best dividends, helping me make many many times the original purchase price back.

have started preparing some projects for a live set using the performance mode

one thing at first sight i would like a better indication between grouped and un grouped tracks

other than that i havent found anything yet i dont like
this is indeed a great beta

i admit ive gotten many great updates over the years but im still disappointed that they are complete against multitrack. fruity 'loops' i mean it wouldn't even be that hard to implement. anybody cant stand the whole loop based workflow?

I'm very confused. So, this is the beta - what actual version is FL on? I think I have 10.0.9, so I do have the actual latest version, right? I'd love to try this beta but am in the middle of a project...

It can be installed in a different folder. (It even does that standard)

That's one thing I like so much about FL. Old projects can be converted to newer versions. I'm sorry, you can rave all you want about any other DAW, FL is the easiest to use and just so flexible it never ceases to amaze me.

Played with this last night. It took a while to set up the performance mode (I think cause I had not done it before) But once set up, WOW it blows live out of the water in the fun stakes. I love all the options on how you actually play the loops. The midi controller situation is also a big step forward. I could never control in live anything other than the channel that was highlighted. With this you can control whatever, whenever. I still don't particularly like the look of fruity loops but I think this update gives live some real competition ahead of their paid update. I may well stay with this
