They're passed from the Christmas Holiday Sale without break directly to the Easter Sale??Choons wrote:Hi, is this company still as ghetto as people claim it to be. Their plugins seem rather attractive for the price at the moment.
I don't know if the customers from the Christmas Sale already have gotten their products? I think not, but maybe a wonder has happened...
Anyway, I wouldn't buy anything at Crysonics.

Why is this company still around if they are such crap. Have they even tried to change their bad business practices and become more active with their customer support?Tricky-Loops wrote:They're passed from the Christmas Holiday Sale without break directly to the Easter Sale??Choons wrote:Hi, is this company still as ghetto as people claim it to be. Because they always seem to find new people that fall for the sales and pay them money without getting the products. Sort of a honey pot, maybe.Choons wrote:Why is this company still around if they are such crap. Because all it takes is a webpage and an ignorant customer.Choons wrote:Why is this company still around if they are such crap. i have a few of their plugs, and I think they're pretty decent. many people here have had horrible experiences with them as far as updates and the company not doing what they said they were going to do. I think there may have been a resolution at one point, but frankly I got bored of paying attention to the drama (not that it was without merit).
from my end, I have had no problems. I bought the plugs, downloaded them and they are functioning on my computer just fine. but from what I have read around here, I wouldn't believe them if they tried to lure me into some sort of pre-paid update.

The worst thing is they have been responsive at times. They even used to cruise here many years ago.......
Then all of the sudden it's MONEY IN, service no. Very strange.
I mean, why would anyone buy their shit when it's a known fact they fail to hand out licenses or support product?
MASSIVE FAIL!

Which products are attractive? I'd bet that there are better alternatives anyway.

Not really, no. I haven't found a s/w enhancer yet that I like as much as Spectralive. A shame it was Crysonics that made it, but IMO a superb enhancer. Cheap as chips.
Sounds like Crysonics haven't changed though - I certainly don't pay any notice to their mails about updates/upgrades - sounds like it's Russian Roulette if you get any upgrade if you pay them, but I hadn't heard that they didn't actually give you the original product - certainly my experience was I paid, then I got the product same day.
I think it's just a case of you have to be prepared to take whatever plugin on its face value at the time. That's all you get, and no support. But they don't necessarily code just any old crap...I didn't like most of their other stuff (personal taste only) but I still maintain Spectralive was one of the best deals in s/w music stuff ever. If that thing came in a black box with some knobs on it, you'd pay hundreds for it. But I like enhancers.
I'd certainly say they're not up there with the reliable companies that you can trust though...

Yeah, I miss Spectralive v1. They just added nonsense since then, but it did something brilliant for voice recordings. Now it just looks like a f**king pinball machine. Ugh.kritikon wrote:Not really, no. I haven't found a s/w enhancer yet that I like as much as Spectralive. A shame it was Crysonics that made it, but IMO a superb enhancer. Cheap as chips.

Spectralive is pretty cool. I bought their bundle during their last apology tour on KVR. A very good smattering of FX, topped by Spectralive. Unfortunately, none of them are x64 (and they are very unstable in the x64 environment) so I've purged them.
I've briefly (very briefly) thought about upgrading to the current version, but 1. I believe only 2 of their plugs have been updated, and 2. I don't want to risk what would most certainly be a bad transaction, given the dev's current profile.
Cheers

LOL!!!! God this is so true though too. The V.1 of all their plugs were way the hell better. I really love spectralive NXT (v.1). Really really good enhancer actually... haven't found something that can replicate it. Sindo v.1 is also tits. Bought is as a used license off of here for like $10 and never looked back.bduffy wrote: Yeah, I miss Spectralive v1. I'm not really sure what all the buzz is about their company being so piss-poor but meh. I've had plenty of times I've shopped or done business with someone or some company where I got fantastic deals/service and "everyone" else got burnt.
