Different products seem to have different update cycles. For example, when Ozone 5 came out, some people made suggestions about the behavior of IRC3 and asked for a few tweaks to features and they implemented them as well as performance improvements and bug fixes for certain platforms in a matter of weeks. I think in general, they're really fast with anything in that class of problem and they will continue to release patches, etc. within the same version number as needed.
They are pretty consistent with major product updates, but their cadence isn't rapid on those.
So it depends on what you're waiting for. If you have a bug you are hoping they will be fixed, it may happen in the next few weeks. If you want a major new feature like configurable time-stretch, you will likely see that in v2.

They don't update super often but it being a new product we can expect bug fixes most likely within the next month. I Can't remember how fast things went with stutter edit but they did address many peoples needs (I remember having a gentler filter was one of them and they did that.

Crackbaby wrote:Those of you who have products from Izotope, how are they with updates? Can we expect to get gridlock soon or is that six months from now?
It depends.
There is no 64-bit support for Radius in Logic so far.
What means that if you use Logic in 64bit mode, this (rather expensive) algo doesn't show up.
In that case, nobody seems to care...
There is also no 64bit version of Spectron, which in fact isn't that big a problem
since it can be used via the 32bit bridge.
So i suppose that there will be updates if lots of people buy Iris.
Otherwise it may soon become a living dead.

Hmm.. that's a shame. I had real fun last night and got great results with drumloops but for that amount of money i want some "insurance" that this isn't it. It was actually pretty awesome last night.. Gnn
Keep posting audio guys, i love listening to it! Sampleconstruct, cool tracks on your website btw

On Gearslutz somebody from iZotopia insured that they were listeningto to feature requests, whatever that means. I have a lot of their stuff , the older apps like Trash and Spectron are not updated anymore, working with the Bridge in Logic is a PITA so those Plugs hardly get any use here, although I love Spectron.

I don't know... Any synth that's 'real fun' and not 'completely befuddling' in the first night of use might be worth the investment.
There's no insurance when you buy *any* plugin that your particular feature requests will be implemented

No, Radius currently only preserves the original speed of the imported wav, nothing more, nothing less.hibidy wrote:Big confusion again
radius allows for a drum sample to be the same........regardless of key. Nice. But it doesn't sync to host tempo........yes?

I know you can set loop start, but can you set sample start? Also, snap to zero would be very helpful to avoid crackles (looping drums don't work well with crossfade

Agreed. At my age, I want every plug-in to be an iPhone experience, i.e. do way more with way less effort than one would imagine.lightsfadelow wrote:I don't know... Any synth that's 'real fun' and not 'completely befuddling' in the first night of use might be worth the investment.

I'm having so damn much fun with this thing.
Sticking multiple simple rendered project files and pseudo-syncing them then drawing sequenced spectrum changes has brought some very interesting result.
Along with time-stretching and other tempo-based features, I'd like to see tempo based selectors/brushes, so we can paint and/or select 1/4 triplets and things like that.
