"Thanks for supporting open standards!"

I think open standards are a great thing! :-) ...and I stress the word, open. :-)

PS--I'm counting this as a bump as well. :-)

We're still looking, folks! I am trying to figure out how to contact the guy who programmed the Salamander piano:

But I can't find any contact info...
Shreddage 3 Stratus: Next generation Kontakt Player guitar, now available!

Impact Soundworks - Cinematic sounds, world instruments, electric guitars, synths, percussion, plugins + more!

Another idea : before they went to UVI format only, the guys from Acoustic Samples were making very good sfz libraries. So if they can take the job, it'd be fine.

I could probably do this. I have made loads of sfz's for samplelibs that I have purchased, utilizing all these techniques. I mainly use Kontakt these days, but I am still very interested in sfz, its structure and its "openess".

How much should such a job pay? If I should apply for it, I have no idea what rates to ask for..

EDIT: If anyone would like to discuss this, or has any helpful info on the subject (standard rates for sample mappings etc), feel free to shoot me a pm! :)

Thanks Baard for speaking up! :-)

@Zircon: I've spoken with Baard before, and AFAIK, he knows his stuff. However, as a backup, if Baard doesn't end up choosing to work with you on the job, here's someone else who has worked with round-robin and such with SFZ:

And thank you audiojunkie for vouching for me. :)
I'll put something together tonight for Zircon, outlining my experience.

Cool! The more professional packages that come out for SFZ, the better for the format! :-)

That is true. I would love to see a freeware sfz players that places oncc controls on a panel, KSP style. Something like that would probably create more interest among developers for SFZ, as well as raising awareness of the format for newcomers and potential customers.

I sent over some words to you Zircon. Great project! :)

what would be even better, would be an open source or free GUI based multi-sample mapper. ;-)

I've done a lot of checking, and I recommend testing SFZ patches for compatibility with the following applications in no particular order:

Dimension LE/Pro
Alchemy Player/Pro
Wusikstation
LinuxSampler
SFZ
