Hello,
I'm looking for something like synth alternative to fruity LSD or Sample Tank. Something that will let me load different vsti-s and each would have assigned different output channel, but the rack itself would be on one separate port.
Here is why: I like to load midi file and assign different vsti to each channel, this way I can lisen to random orchestration every time midi is loaded.
But assigning pots everytime is tedious and takes away all the fun. I'd like to have it done automatically.
Is there any solution?
VST Rack that routs synths to different output channel

Hi, I'd like to help, but I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.
Can't tell if you're talking about routing audio, MIDI, or both.
Also can't tell if you want a standalone host, or a plugin that acts like a host.
At the moment, because it seems to cover everything in question, I recommend trying out Bidule.
There's two versions; one is standalone, the other is a plugin - both can be used to host, chain, and route multiple instrument and effect plugins from multiple inputs to multiple outputs, whether it's audio or MIDI.
Bidule can play MIDI files internally, or receive MIDI from it's host, another standalone app, plugin, or controller.
The (Mac) Audio Unit version can have up to 32 audio inputs and outputs.
Also, on a Mac, the standalone, VST, VSTi, and Audio Unit versions come with 32 MIDI virtual inputs and outputs.
It also has Rewire support.
Can't speak for the Windows versions, but does that help?
