I'd buy that in a heartbeat.ben_horwood wrote: But my personal tip for something else: An ethnic expansion for Omnisphere.
Not entirely focussed on traditional ethnic instruments per se, but hyrid-ethnic-synth sounds that are "other-worldy."
The next BIG Spectrasonics...

Bases on a video I haven't seen, a conversation I haven't heard and a Spectrum post that doesn't exist, I think the next big Spectrasonics product will be a Cyborgbassisphere - a 100ft robot that destroys buildings with extreme LF.
You may laugh now, but you won't when the Chrysler Building comes down.

Well, I'm not supposed to say anything but...
The big product is actually, "Slimeousphere". Spectrasonics has perfected a process whereby the physical properties of pink slime has been sampled and reconstituted across the entire sonic spectrum. The resulting waveforms (which are every bit as tasty and nutritious as traditional waveforms) will be conveniently organized in a 3D, DNA modeled menu. Of course, each sound-string will be composed of 61 (or less) harmonious pairs. They wanted to include more pairs, but the final output was the result of a rex-conversion that, sadly, has its limitations.

You forgot to mention that Slimeousphere is bundled with a semi-humanoid midi controller called Paris Hilton.jtiis wrote:Well, I'm not supposed to say anything but...

Actually it is a VST host that allows you to create your own 'sphere' run through Omni's effects and with an improved arpaggiator. It will run as a stand-alone, run Omni and Trilian patches as well, and also function as a VSTi inside your favorite host. Also updates to Omni, Trilian and Stylus to give them full integration in the system will be made available. But don't tell anyone I told you so
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I have it from a very unreliable source that the next Spectrasonics product may or may not be Stylus RMX TI3 and will possibly probably not likely come with or without a dedicated hardware controller, each hand-built by Eric himself. Existing Stylus owners will get the update for free, delivered by Eric, along with a free two-hour jam session...or maybe not.

I'm pretty shure that the new Stylus will include a kind of drum machine besides the loop player. And it will come with lots and lots of great drumsets and thousands of midi files with all music styles to play these drums.

Speaking of slime...what about puttysphere...or, more specifically...Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty...wow! I just love that stuff! To be clear I'm in for a whole mother load of that stuff...it's just de-stress bliss!
On a serious note, the Omnisphere is great for what I want...
I think Spectrasonics have it all covered...they've got the basses covered in Trilian, they've got the beats covered in Stylus RMX, and they've got everything in between covered in Omnisphere. Seriously, with those three instruments I could do practically ANYTHING.
I've git plenty of other VSTs stuff. There isn't anything missing.
But the Spectrasonics stuff are HANDS DOWN my top 3 of the collection.
