Yup. I'm surprised it took four pages to get mentioned. I miss the days when the most obvious answer appeared on one page. :hihi:

Darnit!!! Just remembered it has tabs for the Oscillators and LFOs. Makes for a clean, quick to navigate, easily understandable interface, but not a discussion ender. Poo, really thought I had it  ...Discussion back on

I thought the same about Substance and Saurus but also realized that Substance got drop-down menus and Saurus got tabs in the mod matrix and Arpeggiator windows (but no drop-down menus). Anyway both interfaces are really great and easy to use.

Someone mentioned Xils PolyKB II which at the first look is OK but it got tabs for the sequencer, arpeggiator, DynaMYX and PolyMYX settings.

Maybe Schwa Olga is really one of the few which got no tabs or drop-down menus.
Another one could be Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600 which is one of my favorite synths.

I strive to make the simplest possible plugins that could possibly be useful:

Yet people constantly ask for more buttons, more features, more things. :)

a single page design is not about being lazy or not enough smart but to be able to see everything without the need to click anywhere
so drop down menus is not a problem, you still see the info you need

Oh my God...the need to mouse click. What a drama........Simple minds require a simple interface I guess.....

Screw it,
I'm coming out of the closet.
I keep telling everyone I'm into Surge's easy, straight forward modulation,
but...
you know...
Aalto really makes me question my modulation preference.
It's so raw, so sexy, so visceral,
and....
I hate to say it...
one glorious, inspiring, easy to talk to, innovative, captivating...
single page.

Shit...
I think I'm into single page synths.

Shit, shit, shit...

How did this happen?!
I was so happy!!
I had good friends in the tabbed community!!!
Now they'll think I'm lazy!!!!
I'll have to get new friends!!!!!

DAMN THIS THREAD!!!!!!!

no problem with dropdown for a small amount of features.

i guess that was a hidden dig yes. well, whatever it was, its certainly not a matter of me having a simple mind. what i do think it is, is be being over sensitive to aesthetic and ergonomic design.

ive always felt the need to feel completely comfortable in my chosen software environment. for reasons unknown, i cannot whatsoever use software that doesnt match my complete expectations in both the look, and the design. the software i use must look pleasing to my eye, that is, i find it very difficult to have to click a gui to brig up a menu that bring up more menus that get to the sound.

i think its an ergonomic nightmare and find it very difficult to get use too. software gui should have next previous buttons for absolutely every feature. its so much easier to program the synth.

Post

ok add tabs to the equation  because i just realized how much im missing out by removing tabs. because i realize tabs are necessary.

Yes because it's so much easier to click next next next next next next than it is to select something with a single mouse click or the twist of virtual knob........Look at the simple GUI of ASynth above.....how would previous/next buttons be of any real use?
