There are other revberbs besides ValhallaRoom ?
Darsho, son of Darsho Sr. of audio, you have been found guilty by the elders of
the forum, of uttering the name of our Reverb, and so as a BLASPHEMER you are
to be stoned to DEATH !

Buy all the reverbs
If we're gonna stay alive.
Let the wub-wub take us to heaven,
Hear the stereo ping-pong cry.
Buy all the reverbs
Buy them all, don't get no cracks.
It's our bestest way of giving --
Buy all you need to make your tracks.

With Lexicon LXP, Valhalla, Waves IR and a few freebie plugins I am covered. No GAS for reverbs anymore.

Reverbs are actually one of the very few plugins that I feel I can not have enough of (you all know what other type of processor I crave on a daily basis..JJBiener wrote:I don't know why someone would want a ton of reverb plugins. I guess it depends on the style of music you make, but once you have found the few that really define your sound, what is the motivation to keep buying them? I have a few freebies and a couple of commercial ones, and I have yet to find myself stuck during mixing for yet another reverb algorithm. Is there really a need for more and more reverbs or are we looking at a case of GAS? If there is something I am missing, I would truly like to know.
Lately I've began using a ton of very subtle, carefully placed reverbs all over the mix. It's not uncommon for me to have more than 15 reverb plugins in a project. Each have their own purpose.. not all at the same time throughout the mix though but carefully choosing reverbs to add emotion to certain parts and also helping dry, mono, instruments to sit in the mix with a monophonic and short slap back reverb. It's just one of these effects that I just don't have enough of and constantly crave for more. It's a mental-illness for sure!
Cheers!

Ah - the old "pin the tail on the donkey" trick. Stupendous.lotus2035 wrote:I like to slap a verb on the master bus with a 20 second tail. Works like a charm.
