Here comes a demo featuring 2 new patches, one using a processed viola phrase recorded during an impro session and the other one using Piano pizzicato samples:

Luftrum wrote:Absolutely beautiful audio demo's Matteo. You and Simon are really showing the great potential of Iris, problem is... it both looks and sounds great and now I have to buy the thing! :)

Buy it now and play with it later that is - my time is dedicated elsewhere atm.
Thank you for listening and appreciating my tracks :-)
I'm sure you'll find a lot to do with Iris. It gets very naturally to wide open pad/soundscapes creations, with the possibility to manually design on the spectrum all the small details you wish, so... you'll enjoy it for sure.

Hope, once again, someone at iZotope is reading the several precise comment on how to make it a perfect must-have sound-design tool. If they don't, they loose a great chance.

For those who have already bought Iris, are the Glass and Wood patch packs worth getting? I'm wondering if they're worth the extra $50.

Hi,

Very nice looking software, does anyone know, if this uses key, dongle or C/R?

(fingers crossed for key :D )

Enter Serialnumber, activate online. Dongle (iLok) is optional.

yeah, like SC said it's either ishlock or C/R. I too really appreciate keyfile when possible.

Sounds wonderful ... :) Reminds me of waking up in a magic land watching the fairies stretch their wings as the cricket drinks from the rainbow dew

Well, I got them both, but it's hard to answer... it's a matter of taste, isn't it? :)
To my taste, the patches in Wood are too much on the weird side, and some patches in glass are very good (but I love soft/atmospheric playable sounds).
On the other hand ALL samples in both Wood and Glass are great, very good material to design my own patches, that is what mainly Iris inspires me to do.
I suggest taking a look at patchpool.com annual subscription, far more the best stuff for Iris around :-)

Thanks. Yeah, I figure a Patchpool subscription might be rather necessary if I spring for Iris.

Has anybody seen the Groove3 tutorial yet?
