DJ Rig™ FREE for iPhone/iPod touch is now available on the iTunes App Store. Together with the newly-updated regular version of DJ Rig, the two apps provide instant song-playing from your iOS device music library, automatic tempo sync and beat match, sample-based pads and performance recording, plus an arsenal of high-quality DJ effects.

DJ Rig FREE is the perfect companion for the soon to be released iRig™ MIX portable DJ mixer for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and together they provide the most portable and innovative setup for mobile DJs and musicians using iOS devices.

All the controls needed for an inspired mixing experience are included in DJ Rig FREE such as tempo controls for fine tuning BPM adjustments, multiple crossfader curves, a waveform display that can be dragged and zoomed, and an accurate scratch engine modeled on real deck behavior with IK's proprietary CloneDeck™ technology for scratching with cut-to-the-beat and a live recorder to capture the full mix performance and export it easily.

An upgrade to the full version is available as in-app purchase for $4.99/€3.99 and includes looping, 5 effects (Band Pass Filter, High Pass Filter, Delay, Stutter, Phazer)
 and 7 sound banks (Drones, Hoovers, Instrument Hits 1, Stabs 1, Synth 1, Vocals 1, Classic FX). The regular paid version of the DJ Rig app with all these features already included is also available in the iTunes store for the same price.

A Pro bundle pack is available for the users of the free and full version as in-app purchase for $4.99/€3.99 and includes: multiple cues, digital deck skin, 6 effects (Flanger, Comp, Fuzzy, Reverb, Auto Wah, Crush) and
 7 Sound Banks (Atmo FX, Animals FX, Instrument Hits 2, Instrument Hits 3, Synth 2, Stabs 2, Vocals 2).

iRig MIX is priced at $99.99/€74.99 (ex. VAT) and will start shipping in May.

BTW I've got to say that with the update DJ Rig doesn't crash anymore, a real joy to play with.
I really like this App, one of my favourite DJ App.

IK did very well with this one in my opinion.

Thanks, J.C. we've been working hard to right the wrongs with the initial releases on this. We're also looking at long-term growth and improvement on this app too, so look for more in the future.

This may be a little off-topic, but I own the full versions of DJ Rig and SampleTank... is it possible somehow to turn off the ads in SampleTank that pop up for DJ Rig?

Cool app, though it doesn't really do a good job at detecting correct tempo of drum&bass tracks. You could also make it easier to set this manually. Other than that - really great, the auto filtering of crossfader feature is pretty cool too.

Thanks for looking into it. My personal feeling is that if I've paid $30 or more for an app, I'd rather not see any ads at all (SampleTank and Amplitube on the PC don't pop up ads, for example). But fewer ads are better than no ads!
