Sorry for what I wrote before.

I forgot to set the numbers of bars before loading the recording.

I love Glitchbreaks, I'm addicted! :D

I think I got an issue with the recording fonction. Everything seems to work well but when I load the recorded performance in a pad the loop play at very high tempo, not at the same tempo as the other loops already loaded.
It's the same issue on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

Any idea?

Edit:

The waveform looks normal and the recordings plays exactly at twice the tempo.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, yes you need to set the bars. But if you don't want to, and you want to use audio that is longer than 4 bars or not cut right, there is a setting in options that will disable the AutoBPM and BPM altogether.
The audio will then play at it's normal speed, unless you use the Pitch slider.

Thanks!

And I've got another suggestion too:

Triggering of several pads together and a latch on/off setting for the pads.

That functionality is built into the mixer, turn the mixer on, when you touch the slider next to the pad turns that channel on, I know it isn't the most ideal, but it is workable, I would like to think of a better way to implement this (UI wise) but have to think about both iPad and iPhone, hard to fit it all into iPhone's screen size.

It's a work around, but I move the slider each time I touch it.

For the UI, you just need to put 1 more line in the settings, not a big deal for the iphone screen I think, and even in the future you could just put more pages. Just an idea it's your baby...

Yeah that is the only draw back, unless you want them all full volume, then you can just sort of flick them up. I was trying to avoid extra pages, in order to have all the controls visible at once, but I will see what I can do.

Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the app. Maybe its a lack of creativity, but it feels like the glitches I can make with it are pretty repetitive and few. I probably should have waited to see what more people do with it, but I think I would have been more comfortable paying $3 for this, not $5 (based on what other music apps I could have gotten for $5).

The app looks really polished and well put together, you did a great job. Still, I hope for more glitch possibilities or to see the price lower for others once you've recouped some of your investment.

Let's give Alex the chance to further develop Glitchbreaks. He said on iDesignSound that he will be in touch with the community.

This App has IMHO a great potential, I don't know other Apps that let you jam with breaks like Glitchbreaks do. Or like it could...

I totally agree with the critics about the choice to make the loops always repeat from the start point, but I' m sure that Alex understood that (it is the main critic I read everywhere) and will fix it. Then it will become awesome!

I think that it is a very good first App for a small independant.
There are renowed companies selling crap on the AppStore since months and we are still waiting for a first update...

Well said!

Here is a quick synth/drum demo I made using iMS-20 and Glitchbreak. I recorded both directly into cubase from the headphone output. I ended up having to edit the beats so they'd stay in time after most of the glitches but it was really easy (I'm a music editor).

VERDICT; The QUALITY of the sounds is great, the glitches sound great, I just wish there were more options to glitch. As it is, very usable!

Hi everyone,

Yes I am working on updates as we speak. I already have a bugfix update that I submitted on the 26th waiting for Apple, and am working on varying the Glitches from the Glitch Pad. While I was at that, I also changed the way the Loop Modulation works a little, I have it now so when you scan past the current play point the sample plays to catch up to where you would like the glitch, which makes for some interesting glitches, but I have just changed to to always be locked into where you have loopstart set. I think I would like to make this default behavior, and set an option to change it to the original way.

Also I am definitely going to be adding Core Midi, Virtual Midi, and Background Audio, but may submit these small updates first.

Thanks,

Alex

Not yet, but the first major update will have core midi, virtual midi, and background audio.
