Great App.
http://www.korguser.net/ikaossilator/en ... n-the-ipadCan I use this on the iPad?
iKaossilator is an app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It will work on the iPad, but will be displayed at the screen size of the iPhone.

Nice update but the loops are only play back with a filter, no kaos.
And it still needs midi sync to be useful in the studio.

Seems like a WIST host for PC/Mac that connects to your DAW would work decently and then let you sync many apps over Bluetooth. I wonder if such a thing is in the works.

So you can't change the sample's pitch from the pad, huh?

Having purchased iKaossilator, iElectribe, and iMS-20 today, iKaossilator probably represents the worst value for money, imo. More a toy in comparison to the other two.
Both iElectribe and iMS-20 are both worth full price, imo. I just didn't realize it 'til they went on sale. That's the power of a demo, Korg!

iKaossilator on the iPhone is pretty great IMO. Definitely a bit of a toy but that's what I'm looking for generally on my phone. Considering the price of the hardware with even less functionality, it's a bargain. Depends on what you're looking for, I guess.
It does seem a bit large and silly on the iPad though.

Is it really fair to put in comparison the emulation of a legendary synth, a famous drum machine and iKaossilator?jjmcjj wrote:Having purchased iKaossilator, iElectribe, and iMS-20 today, iKaossilator probably represents the worst value for money, imo. More a toy in comparison to the other two...
I bought all of them too and I spend more time playing with iKaossilator than with iElectribe or iMS-20.
So for me ikaossilator was a better investment...

All the Korg apps seem pretty damn great at the sale price. I got the three I mentioned for a couple bucks more than iMS-20 at full price. The iMS-20 seriously sounds incredible, and also features both a step-style drum sequencer and assignable kaoss pads, as well as a full mixer and great export functionality. Just a great value at 1/2 off.
Bit fiddly tho.

I traded in my Kaossilator Pro because iKaossilator is so damn good.
It's only a toy if you have no idea what it's used for.

It could really use a mixer of some sort. A painful omission.
That said, I've played around a bit more, and iKaossilator is a LOT more satisfying when slaved to iElectribe via WIST.
To me, the built in rhythms in iKaossilator are kinda wack.
