I just got it delivered by the nice UPS guy (3) days ago. Boy oh boy! I am so happy that I bought it while NI was offering it on the "Spring Sale Event". It's really, really nice to have the complete version of Kontakt, Guitar Rig Pro, the Scarbee MM Bass, Mark I, Clavinet, A200, the Grand Pianos collection, etc. . No more 15 minute demo time-limits and constrained to Kontakt Player only.

I'm enjoying the library samples very much. I realize that there are more expensive, specialty saxophone libraries, piano libraries, Strings & Orchestration, etc., but for the $$ Sale price, NI Komplete is HARD TO BEAT! I used to try "make do" with some of the old freeware VSTi's such as SaxiPlayer and DVS Saxophone, but the included samples in the Kontakt factory library are much better. Mr. Sax T. is creme d la creme, but the Kontakt samples are MUCH better than using the freeware stuff.

Just my quick 2 cents. I'm glad to finally be the proud owner of something that seemed very out of reach to me for a long time. God's been good to me and I consider this new software a wonderful blessing.

Agreed. Komplete 8 is, IMO, the best all-on-one solution that's ever been released. It could easily be the first and last plug-in package someone ever buys.

Totally agree, I purchased Komplete 8 about three weeks ago and I cannot be any happier. It's the best purchase I've ever made, and most likely, ever will.
I love the Kontakt libraries, including the factory ones, especially the vocal section. The rest of the included libraries, including the stunning pianos, New York concert grand and upright really shine. Excellent MM bass. The included organ and EP's are perfect! I just love all of it!
Studio drummer and Abbey Road 60 drum and the free 6.2 gig upgrade drummer are just fantastic! Retro machines mkII is really great too!
Reaktor is just breath taking, I was blown away by it! Truly.
The included synths such as Absynth, Battery, FM8 and Massive are just pure heaven.
I love the lot!
I already have Scarbee Pre bass and might spend the 25 euro voucher towards Razor.
The only thing I wish Native Instruments would do is slightly change their download transfer policy to allow customers who have purchased Komplete 8 to allow transfer licenses of previous purchases (including libraries) that are included in the Komplete package. As I already mentioned, I own Scarbee Pre bass, which I know is only included in the Ultimate version but I also purchased the New York concert grand around christmas time.

Definitely +1. This is part of what makes me reluctant to get Komplete and reluctant to buy any more libraries online. I'd love to get the organ library for instance, but hold back because I know it would reduce the value of getting Komplete. Finding this out really cooled my heels in purchasing NI's stuff. I bought Studio Drummer, the Mouth, Kontakt Elements and Retro Machines and all this combined would have been better off saved for buying Komplete. That you can't sell them is a huge drag.

Funny enough, I'm in the same sort of dilemma but concerning purchasing anything else as I plan to purchase the Komplete Ultimate upgrade at the end of the year.
So I'm sort of thinking.... is it worth buying anything else like Razor or 70s Drummer now? I'll won't get my money back for it.

It's definitely for their benefit, because I would have easily spent more on the organs and maybe more if I knew that could go towards the purchase price for Komplete. I wish they would give you some sort of upgrade discount for every individual item you own if you later decide to buy the full package, maybe not let me resell it (I'm ok with that actually) but give me a break and a good incentive to upgrade. It is currently a dis-incentive actually.

I'd like a system where Komplete is X number of dollars, and you can buy elements of that package one at a time online via them, and once you hit the cost of Komplete you get the full license. So for instance I start out spending $120 on a library, like it, and then buy Reaktor for instance. Then I would have a big incentive to buy more from them because it would inch me up to the full package. I'd basically become their bitch I'm certain of that.

Yes, must agree with you on your idea. I believe PSP audioware have that sort of purchase policy.
But at the end of the day, I can't take anything away from NI.
Komplete is a fantastic product, all their gear it pretty fantastic in my own humble opinion.
Great web site, great login/account set up, easy installation, superb little bonuses such as Skanner. My studio pc is NOT online but authorization is just a breeze with a flash drive.
No, on the whole can't complain. Well done to NI for giving us such great tools.
For me personally, all I want to do now is get my head down and write music. My head is happily spinning with constant ideas due to this (Komplete) purchase.
That alone is worth the £400 I paid for it.

Probably not unless you want to use them in a song now. The 60's kit covers a lot of bases, anyway.

Yeah I'm not exactly complaining, but I'm spending my money elsewhere. That's really a shame basically, because I'd love to have much of what is in Komplete just can't buy it all in one shot. It is a business decision by NI and doesn't take away anything from their products, and I understand how managing their supply and vendor relations etc. is all pretty complex, but maybe as online commerce matures they will get closer to my ideal.

Again, I agree with you Braj, I hope someone from NI might see this thread and take a little note. Just to improve their business if anything. I'm willing to help any company who are loyal and give great service to their customers get better by purchasing their product. I don't think it would harm NI to re look at their policies.

Considering how affordable Komplete is vs the insane amount of content in it, coupled with NIs marketing plan to push that package over everything else - you'd have to be whack to buy anything included in Komplete seperately.

I got onboard with NI early on, purchasing Kontakt(v1), Absynth2, Reaktor3, FM7, Pro-52...along with paying for various upgrades along the way. When the Komplete concept first came about, I held out, thinking I'd just keep what I had and update/upgrade that as needed, even though they had an upgrade path for my situation. (IIRC it was still quite expensive. almost twice what K8 goes for today).

At some point I finally bought into the Komplete, since upgrading Kontakt and some of thier other products I owned would equal or exceed just buying in, and especially since it seemed this was the track NI was taking/pushing by their pricing & marketing.

Overall I've spent a truckload more than anyone who starts fresh and just buys Komplete8.....even the Ultimate version.

Komplete is a killer deal from that perspective
