Live 8 lite help - no sound!

I'm trying to run Live Lite 8 with my MOTU 2408MKII via Digital output 9-10 on the device, but I'm not hearing my audio during playback. I followed Ableton's "getting stared 1: Audio interface" video and set my audio preferences to use the PCI-424 & configured outputs for 9-10 only. I do hear the "test tone" through my system, but no actual sound from live when I drag my own audio into the audio clips and press play. I do see the meters for the audio playing in green, as well as blue meters on my master, but I hear no sound.

Any advice would be appreciated. My MOTU interface works fine in all other programs (Logic, DP, Protools) and I do hear the test tone in live, but no audio, and I don't know whats wrong.

p.s. I would have sent this to technical support, but it turns out they do not offer support for live lite! WOW!! So give potential new customers a program and then not allow them to get help in actually getting it to work? Great way to gain a user base, haha. Hopefully some nice users here at KVR can show me the light.


edit: Interesting, if I switch it to analog 1-2 and plug my headphones into my MOTU unit I hear sound. But as soon as I swith it to 9-10 (digital output) I no longer hear sound.

ok figured it out. Even though live says its switching my outputs when I only have 9-10 active, I still have to go into output view and manually switch it from 1-2 (which is disabled in the preferences) to 9-10.

Kind of a pain, but I at least I now hear sound!

is live lite still a one vst/vsti program? used to drive me nuts.
