Actually, it's seven algorithms more than CSR. Check the product page.

That been said, I've tried the demo of ValhallaRoom and liked it, but I already have EAReverb, ArtsAcoustic Reverb and CSR and they're more than enough for me.

But I'd be loathe to put it up in front of my more brand conscious clients because of its appearance. Some may like the scandinavian/clean/graphic look, but I'm not among them. CSR is a beauty by any standard, and doesn't need apology when you open it up.

You should get your superficial clients to close their eyes and listen !

That's what music is really all about...

Too many people listen with their eyes and that's a little ignorant :smack:

Actually the ValhallaRoom GUI is extremely nice looking and screams "this is made for professionals" as opposed to some other plugins which use the "let's put another virtual tube on the panel to impress the kids" methodology of GUI design.
Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Some of my clients wear $300 jerseys. $150 ball caps. 3k watches. Trust me, it matters. I do this for a living, and if you don't think name brands and looks aren't a big deal, you're kidding yourself.

Having names like Neumann, Pro Tools, Focusrite, Waves, Lexicon and Genelec in my studio gets me gigs that might go elsewhere if I didn't. And those cool, faux 3d interfaces in CSR are on par with any skin out there. They look expensive.

And IK has earned a reputation that gets better with everything they release. While I'm not crazy about all the iStuff, it gets the name out there a little more, and in time that name recognition grows. I now have folks asking if I have T-Racks. And I do!

But to think I choose a verb just based on looks is mistaken. I LOVE the sound of CSRs modules and that's why I put it up.
I also love what ValhallaShimmer does, but hate its GUI too. I went to school for graphic design. I get it. I just don't like it.

And geroyannis, I did see the new stuff that's been added. It still sounds like different size rooms to me, some with names from Alien! Plates and Halls are mentioned in the copy, but not as algorithms. And Inverse isn't mentioned at all. And like you, I'm well covered with five soft verbs and a hardware Lexi 550 myself, so I'm not looking to buy another.

I'm not trashing Sean, or ValhallaAnything. Just trying to compare apples to apples, and call a room a room.

Meh, they are all plugins. If anybody is THAT impressed by a GUI, any GUI, and thinks a drawing of a tube makes it better, then they are a bit like the proverbial monkey, the one interested in the shiny objects.

I have no watch, $10 shirts, and a target cap and even I still care.

Soon enough you'll see what we have been doing with it and a few other plug ins. This year will be a great year for IK once the curtains are pulled back, then you'll understand. We appreciate your patience.
No longer with IK. Here is my Website | Twitter | YouTube | Facebook | Instagram

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Some business acquaintances used to have a high end animation studio. Back at that time SGI workstations were considered top end. They had a $100,000 SGI station out front for the clients to look at and they did their work in the back on PC's...

I would much rather have a GUI that was functional for working on. The great big sliders and knobs of VRoom are so much easier to grab with the mouse when ones attention is on the sound. I find the smaller knobs and buttons of CSR (and many other GUI's) take too much attention to use in comparison. I love the simple clean uncluttered GUI with big controls.
