Thanks to V'ger I tried and boutght the Memorymoon ME80. It is probably the most inspiring synth I've played since getting Diva. I'm bowled over by it, my hands and arms are killing me after playing it for the last hour. Anyhow for $40 it is a steal, really really wonderful Try the Majesty Trumpet patch, just incredible. Yeah I know its SynthEdit but I don't care one bit. Give it a shot if you haven't already. Now I need to upgrade my keyboard to aftertouch, I never should have sold my SQ80.

Please, some MP3s here about testing the synth would be nice.

I want to hear how it sounds.

Have a good day and enjoy your new gear.

I just listened to the audio samples for the first time, they really really don't do it justice :) The demo is pretty good, just regular audio dropouts otherwise it is fully functional, you should check it out yourself :) I'll definitely be using this in whatever I do next, synths are all so subjective whether we like them or not, but for instance I just got DuneCM yesterday which is a really nice synth and I like this 100x more. I had tried Arturia's CS-80 version a few years ago and didn't fall in love with it, was kind of bored by it even (maybe it is better in its current form though, I haven't heard it recently, I'm not criticizing it at all). Just I really like the sound of this one :) It is very thick and full of character, and suits me really well. It also is not bad on the CPU at all in my experience. I have Trilian which has some CS-80 patches and this compared very well with that, it will hold its own in tracks with Trilian and Diva. I feel like this rounds out my synths well, my main workhorses are Diva (sparingly), Trilian (always), AAS Ultra Analog (nearly every track), I just got String Studio, and now this. It seems like a good palette for what I want to make :)

All Gunnars plugs are excellent quality esp for the price!
software is a tool that allows us to complete a given task.
social media is full of tools that distract us from a given task.

Yeah I think ill be picking up his MemoryMoog and Prophet5 emulations next month, for $40 for the two it is a really good addition to my little collection. I had some reservations about Synthedit but really, some of my favorites are now Synthedit based. My only real concern there is when I eventually go 64 bit but that may not really be much of an issue anyhow.

Memorymoon was one of the first plugs i bought from Gunnar,i have made about 70 or so patches for it that are available for download via his site.It really is capable of anything.I own a few good synths (synthmaster,z3ta 2,aspect) but i am always coming back to memorymoon. It runs without issue on my system,Reaper 64bit,win7 64bit. :D

Yeah I know Reaper is really solid with bridged plugins but now I'm on Studio One, I don't really know much about how it fares with jbridge yet, but anyhow there is still time before I switch, and nice plugs like Gunnar's make it not as important to upgrade anyhow. I mostly need 64 bit for the memory bandwidth.

What's the copy protection on those plugins? I remember it was talked about here a long time ago, but can't remember what is was about.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Apparently there is none. I read he had some sort of timed scheme at some point but I believe he abandoned that. I think you just need the full version plugins. That appears to be the case anyhow. :-) I appreciated this myself.

Nice :) And so true Synthedit synths can be as good as anything, my early prejudice has certainly gone.

Bah, im getting a false positive on CK_GUI_CONTOUR_RND.SEP and i cant figure out how to allow/restore it in Comodo .......... :?

Oh, you are from Karlskoga, I was at Putte i Parken last year. It was really interesting. I learnt that electronic music is more popular than rock in Sweden. The DJ set with Pendulum was the best moment for me, and had the most excited crowd. And Håkan Hellstrøm.

The CK_contour_random provides exp curves for the sliders and the random system for upper and lower synthline. Sorry about false positives. We have problems with antivirus beeing too agressive these days, so it will say that custom modules are trojans, they are always false positives. You can report the false positive to the detection/support center for your antivirus. You just attach the suspicious file. Their testlab will check it. Often they update the antivirus software in just 3 days.

The suspicious file will be in the ME80 folder. VST-instruments/ME80.

And thanks for the nice words.

All the best
gunnare
