And DUNE has to my eras a very pleasent, smooth, charasteristic sound. Pretty different to Sylenth imo, so they compliment each other very well.
Dune CM is worth it.

Yep, as a full version user I can say that DUNE is a really fine synth. Very straight forward to use, but the Mod Matrix makes it a really deep synth, with so many modulation possibilities. Once you dive in there.. it's great
Very good usable arp in there too. The effects are nice but imho not the most convincing, but they don't need to be with so many great vst effects available on the market. Unison is where this synth really shines, for thick bright sounds.

50% is a square wave
you can also change the setting for each layer in the MM, no need to even go near an envelope

Yea. You just need to up the voices to 2, then set the modmatrix slot to "const" target the PW, and adjust it to some different value, then set the voice choice to 2. So voice 1 will be whatever the knob is set to, and voice 2 will be set to whatever the modmatrix amount is, in accordance with the pw knobs setting of course.Kriminal wrote:Ah i see....its possible in the MM using some trickery, which is a pain. I asked for seperate pw since day one.

I would try guitar stores. If yoou have a Guitar Center there's a good chance they would have it.zerocrossing wrote:I have no doubt it's worth getting the magazine just for this plug in, but sadly the places that used to sell CM around here are gone.

I figured between Sylenth and Synth 1, it's all covered...
I picked up the mag to try it out and had my mind changed.
My initial impression was that it has a more refined, smoother sound than the other two I mentioned - nto as gristly way up top in the highs. The unison(s) is great. I find gui very logical, easy to use, and therefore inviting, and it has been very cpu efficient. One thing I wish it could do, though I may just be missing it is adjust pulse width directly, instead of using an envelope. Overall It strikes me as a really friendly synth.
So I'm late to the party, but it has made me think hard about purchasing the full version to use as my workhorse, "put it in everything" synth. Dune is definitely worth it, and DuneCM a steal. It's easy power
good review, i agree about the sound. and like how it sits between MY other main plugs (sylenth1 and zebra).
my ONLY wish: i want to lock away the keyboard, so every time i open an instance of dune, the effects are there.
i must be missing something, i don't understand these little keyboards on synth plugins...

yes, that gives each layer a seperate PW, but not each OSC, which is why i think a PW knob should be on each OSC.mcnoone wrote:Yea. Target=Osc Mix
Amount=100
Voice=2
Now if you set the PW as noted in previous post. It will be on osc2, and voice 1 on osc1.

Bumping this older thread, as I just got the latest CM with the disk, and it has Dune CM on there...can't wait to check it out. Bad part is I am not at home yet, so it will be a while..
