Hey!
I'm new here, so I might aswell introduce myself shortly. I'm 19 years old and I go by the artist name "Tobasko". I've been using FL Studio for the past 8 years and I love it.

I started this little thingy yesterday, and I must say I am quite pleased with what I got so far.
Haven't worked on the intro and transitions too much yet, what I want to show you is the takeoff/drop.
Any tips and advice would be very much appreciated! I want to make this one PERFECT.

Nice! Lots of groovy little bits to keep the ears and the feet happy, that drop at 1:18 is sweet, love the cough. Creative and catchy.

(fellow Fl Studio user here )
I am listening on my Skype headphones (I listen to a lot of dance music on these while working) and the throaty sound that comes in at 0.16 and plays throughout just doesn't sound too hot in my opinion. It's got a VST preset playing in a quickly made one bar pattern vibe to it that I hear a lot in my own music but less often in more professional/polished mixes from professional producers.
When that bit drops out such as in the build up at 2.22 I think the tune is more professional sounding.
Then when it comes back in it's a bit annoying/weak again.
On better headphones it might blow people away, perhaps but (that particular sound and riff) didn't do it for me.

Thank you so much for the feedback, it's highly appreciated. I had that thought when I created the sound, that some people might not like it. But I really do like it, and you're actually the first one to dislike it.
The pattern is simple, yes. But the synth is made from scratch in 3x osc - so I don't know what you mean by VST preset.
