Amen to that my brothers. The closer I got to any sort of compensation from playing music the more miserable I was. The only time I felt OK was doing game soundtrack work and that was 100% commercial commissioned work and the client was pretty easy to work with.Hink wrote:+ a billion, it's all good though. Now I noodle about for hours and it's deeply satisfying. All those years though I always felt like that wasn't enough, I had to be "successful." F' that! I now consider any night I have fun in my studio a success.
