Any other questions?
Honestly... considering how complex those two tools are.. the GUI is superb and clean compared to what most companies would come out with.

Don't hate on something just because it is more fully featured than most other stuff on the market :)

Though I do realize some GUIs are not for everyone... but I'm pretty sure FabFilter is most frequently cited by most as sporting the best GUIs of any plugin vein... and I must say I honestly agree with them. Workflow with them is brilliant and they're sleek and easy on the eyes.

No, it doesn't

Who could tell what you meant? I'm looking forward to the photo realistic gui of this plugin.............

You think those eye searing colors are easy on the eye? You like the endless scrolling needed in Twin 2? Fabfilter makes some of the best sounding plugins on the market. Their guis are some of the worst.........in my opinion of course.

When you look at a cherry or a tangerine, do you make sure you're wearing sunglasses? Not saying Volcano or Saturn aren't gaudy as heck. They are. But they're also pretty and easy to comprehend. Also, Twin2 was annoying to work with before wide mode. Now, I'm thinking about picking it up.

I hope VladG goes with his own sense of aesthetics, though.

Personally I prefer TLS pocket limiter color scheme:

And also old voxengo design:

http://www.voxengo.com/files/scrn/booge ... ge1024.jpg

It's speaking of non-photorealistic style.

About photorealistic style I've written my opinion here:

Molot GUI was one thing that drew me to it. Probably more due to the Russian military vibe than photorealism. Although I do like the realistic knobs in molot; very cool and unique. One thing missing from molot GUI is line breaks, to differentiate sections, imo. Useful for lining things up, as well as breaking the GUI up a little.

I agree about D16 Lush GUI; it's understated photorealism at it's finest. A very good example, I think...

What Vlad said... I'm 100% with you on this. Great examples. I also preferred older Voxengo GUIs... simple and efficient. Easy on eyes.

Cheers!

I've always loved the TBT guis of TLS etc. Voxengo not so much.

Where did you get the screenshot of Shioitor (now called luSH101)? It's darker than the one I remember. Now that's an example of a professional GUI (in my opinion of course). I'd buy it just to sit and stare at it......... :hihi:

I love the Molot look and hope your limiter sports a similar gui........ :tu:

But you don't spend extended periods of time staring at pictures of cherries and tangerines on a computer monitor...(unless you're stoned :hihi: )...the more complex a plugin is the more likely you are to spend a lot of time looking at it....the Fabfilter examples I've posted would give me a headache in a very short time.

I think you have good ideas about what a GUI should be.

The cool thing about old Voxengo designs is that they tend to cut the crap. They don't try to lead your workflow around with different knob sizes or staggering them, etc. They group the knobs, lay them out coherently, and try not to take up a lot of space.

Okay, you got me there.

I also might have a different opinion of tangerines, you know, if they were backlit. :hihi:

I do think the colors work, though. Maybe my gamma/brightness/contrast is low.
