Just dropping in to ask a question of interest. I'm currently a FL Studio but after using a demo of Studio One and its track based sequencing I decided its time for a change. I decided Studio One isnt what im looking for but instead looked to Cubase and found it quite interesting but first I have a few questions.
Is Cubase Artist more then enough for a electronic music producer (Hardstyle/Hard Dance) who is already equipped with VST instruments?
Does Cubase Artist come with effects like Distort, EQ, Chorus, Reverb?
What are the main differences that set aside Artist from the normal Cubase version?
Does it come with Quantize and Piano Roll?
I dont need the support for any external synths as I program all my leads and bass with Sylenth1 and Massive and play them through a midi keyboard.
Cheers!

It's more than enough. I still use Cubase Studio 4 (the equivalent of the new Artist series) and i've yet to find a reason to upgrade.

How do you find the audio effects and sound of Cubase?tehlord wrote:It's more than enough. I still use Cubase Studio 4 (the equivalent of the new Artist series) and i've yet to find a reason to upgrade.

They're useful and will work at first, but I rarely use the inbuilt effects anymore apart from the delays. I wouldn't base a purchase of a DAW on the inbuilt effects anyway, the only one that really has all those bases covered well is Logic imo.liam1895 wrote:How do you find the audio effects and sound of Cubase?tehlord wrote:It's more than enough. You'll almost certainly buy 3rd party FX afterwards anyway, and with bundles like Uhbik it doesn't have to be expensive either.
