LOL @ EQuality having a higher CPU hit than Pro Q and IIEQPro.
Sorry but that's BS, EQuality has a tiny CPU hit, as do the others, you'd be talking 1% maximum more for one than the other, and imho, that's splitting hairs.

I've demoed both Pro Q and EQuality, created multiple tracks using both, and I'm buying the DMG Audio bundle in about 10 days when my demo is up. Just saving my pennies, but I think the DMG products are worth way more than they cost
I think EQuality sounds better than Pro Q, and Pro Q just never did it for me. Personally I think EQuick looks better and is far easier to use. Personal taste I guess. I also find Compassion sounds many times better than Pro C, and 10x easier to use.
With the DMG Audio bundle you also get the amazing EQuick which I also like more than Pro Q, not to mention Compassion.
All three of these DMG Audio products are mindblowingly good.

Well I can't see any difference at all really in CPU use in Cubase 6 64 between the two.ttoz wrote:well on studio one on mac the difference is a a few % per instance and the gap widens at linear phase modes.LeVzi wrote:LOL @ EQuality having a higher CPU hit than Pro Q and IIEQPro.

If it's different on windows i have no idea.
In Linear Phase mode, EQuality was actually less than Pro Q, but I think it might be a bug in Pro Q as it couldn't play back properly due to latency.

I'm patient? And resurrecting old threads is a hobby of mine.A.M. Gold wrote:Why would he do that and then wait six weeks to post about it?ttoz wrote:wow almost a year old thread. hi bill, you registered to praise equality?
I think I got all up in KVR because of Zebra and Diva. Then I believe I found DMG Audio stuff here. I was already demoing the Fabfilter plugins. I really want to buy Volcano, but Pro C, Pro Q just never grabbed me. Well, Pro Q a little at first. It is pretty.
One other thing that attracted me to the DMG Audio EQs and Compressor is the way people talk about the developer. Much the same way for u-he and valhalla. Something about giving my money to a great developer really makes me happy, especially when their products really suit me.

I thought the best EQ is just the one that you already have and know how to use
After 2 years of using Pro-Q I don't consider changing it to any other similar plugin, just because of amount of time I've spent to learn it.
If I've had bought equality 2 years back I bet I would say the same about it now.
cheers

Im interested that you converted yourself over the sound quality. I love ProQ but at times find it a little daunting compared to other eqs until I looked up Sonaris!! I have Noble/SSL/Neon (again a little over complicated for my needs.
Will be checking equality out due to the sound quality comments throughout the thread.
Does eq have the range to give the air at the hiend ?
