Enjoy your ignorance.

Well, I can say this for certain: if you want to be really sure Saurus demo is safe, just create a Saurus subdirectory in you VST folder, and install there. Then all worries are gone, nothing but Saurus will be installed there for certain, no other files will be in any risk. Simple!

Maybe you can PM the info to Bastiaan and he can investigate further, just in case there may be some real issue Tone2 should be aware of.

So he can accuse me of being a hacker and whatnot again?

I dont think so. This whole thing has ticked me off enough already.

But then i guess thats just what you get when you give a damn about anything these days. I mean was it me who brought up the whole damn sandbox issue? And was it me who accused Tone2 of stuffing their software with malware? Hardly, OTHERS did that, i merely tried to bring something tangible to the discussion since most of the posts discussing the issue were full of speculation and confusion. In other words i tried to HELP, and look what it got me. Now i have to listen to insults from the likes of LeVzi, a guy who needed like three supplemental posts to even understand WTF i was saying anyway.

Nah, im quite through with this topic now.

Fact is the installer DOES send a write instruction for each and every file and folder in the target dir - OUTSIDE any sandboxes - it is clearly reproducible in Process Monitor and thats the end of it. If Tone2 dont see a reason to change that, fine with me. If some people dont want to hear it, fine with me. If some people want to make me the bad guy for pointing out the facts, be my guest. I wont lose any sleep over it...

I demoed it in Sandboxie, only problem was the time limit rush and the intro vocoder voice sounded ugly and childish.

I recently demoed Groove drum synth, and every time I closed it, a webpage would open, deal killer.

Yeah, it is in developer's interest to understand what makes us want to continue a demo and what makes us want to delete it and move on. A wise man can take advice from a fool if it is good, but a fool can't hear wisdom from anyone.

ENV1 I had no problem with your post, and I think Bastiaan would be more receptive than anyone. I know you tried to help, as did I, but we shouldn't get frustrated and over-react ourselves. In the grand scheme of things this is about as unimportant as it gets, it ultimately is someone else's business.

So on a positive note, I like the arp in Saurus, and my favorite sounds are the more digital metallic ones, as opposed to the more analog ones.

Thats right, you said Bastiaan.

I was refering to Markus, sorry about that.

Still, i really dont feel like continuing this.

If you want to pass on the info to Tone2, heres the link to the screenshot.

Problem Description: Installer fires CreateFile instructions for files/folders that already exist. It affects all files and folders in the target dir.

Well I'll just assume he will see it here  for me I'll just keep Tone2 stuff in their own folder. Like I said, not my problem and I need to let it go myself. Hopefully Tone2 will take it seriously and investigate accordingly.
