Looks to be great, hardly any presets unless you have to find them manually.

Yeah, it still crashes the AU validation in Logic but I'm now running it in "incompatible" mode and it works alrighthibidy wrote:haha, @ simon.........you went from crashing to not caring for it to buying it in record time

Well, not to lag too far behind, here is a quick demo of the weirder side of Pitchfunk. I dumped it on a work-in-progress, basically some drums mangled in Iris and accompanied by a lovely jazzy piano solo. It was lovely, that is, until I ran it through Pitchfunk. Sure to annoy the hell out of any sane person.

On a serious note, check out the quality of those slowed-down drums... I've got them running through an automated filter and delay, so of course it's not pristine. But the sound quality of Pitchfunk is stunningly good; even the "poor" modes sound great!

Now the Topology settings and the Gain Post/FX Mix Post-routings in the Panel menue make this thing very/even more versatile! Great concept!!

Light fuse, get away
Can it be controlled, or does it just take over?

Finding it pretty tough to get something uninteresting out of this plug.

My specs are the same as yours - 10.6.8 with Logic 9.1.7, this was on my Macbook Pro last night, will try to validate in 32 Bit mode now and delete the AU-cache maybe - and then install it on my Mac Pro 8-core studio machine today and see how it goes.ttoz wrote:what OSX version?Sampleconstruct wrote:The demo crashes Logic's AU validation tool, I tried it 3 times and it always crashed when trying to validate PitchFunk...
EDIT: Tried another time, it crashed again but now at east the Plug shows in Midi controlled effect Plugs as "incompatibel".
on 10.6.8 and logic 9.1.7
it passed validation first time here

Check out Pat Metheny's "The Sign of Four" when you have the chance. Makes this sound like angels singing.lingyai wrote: That is about the wildest thing I've ever heard

Well, it can be controlled, and I really went nuts on this one. Both inserts (there are only two instances of PF on here) are taken from a blank slate and tweaked in about two minutes, which shows how easy it is to go overboard with this one.
Going to explore the subtler side, now that it's morning here and I'm sober again.

It also crashes the AU validation tool on my studio machine in 32 and 64-Bit mode so something is definitely wrong here.Sampleconstruct wrote:My specs are the same as yours - 10.6.8 with Logic 9.1.7, this was on my Macbook Pro last night, will try to validate in 32 Bit mode now and delete the AU-cache maybe - and then install it on my Mac Pro 8-core studio machine today and see how it goes.ttoz wrote:what OSX version?Sampleconstruct wrote:The demo crashes Logic's AU validation tool, I tried it 3 times and it always crashed when trying to validate PitchFunk...
