I already know about rewiring. Is there any other way to combine sounds like the combinator in cubase?

I don't use Cubase, so I'm not sure if it has the built in functionality to do what you want.
I suspect not, as I've never read anything about it.
I also have very little experience with Reason Combinators, but there are plugins that will host other plugins and allow you to group them and make your own GUI for them; leaving out certain controls you don't want, or combining controls you want to control at the same time. You can also load them altogether as a group, whenever you want them.
I use Bidule for doing this (works great imo), but I think Usine may be able to do it aswell.

Steinberg used to make a vst called vst stack that allowed users to load and layer a bunch of different plugins, they dropped support for it.

technically you can use their multi track presets option..
1. Load 1 vsti arm it
2. load another vsti arm it
3. etc..

now group the tracks by selecting them all, then save them as a multi track preset// you can also apply efx on each track..

one would think they would offer a sort of addon plugin that worked more like their plugin of old days, but this will work as a workaround..

This is a very useful tool (also runs 'stand alone') for building layered synth and/ or effect chains.
