Pitchfunk is doing nothing for me on the PC in Sound Forge, Reaper 64, Nuendo 32... like not working at all. Sounded like so much fun....

It feels like the release of PF was rushed a bit with already so many Bugs reported...I just encountered a new Bug myself when trying to save/recall a patch I made - when reloading it it was not at all what I had saved or tried to save and I worked on that one for about an hour or so - oh well....

Strange things happening here as well... I've got about 5 instances on a running project in Ableton. While it's playing, the CPU is alright; when I hit stop, it maxes out to about 250%! When I hit "play", the CPU is back to normal.

Huh? :o

And that is, for us non-programmers?

Ah! Well, that's all I really need to know. To be more precise, all that DAVE needs to know. :D

Thankfully not a show-stopper right now.

I'm getting 50% CPU usage in Ableton 8 on my Macbook with one instance of PitchFunk set to the "Step Up" preset. Normal?

sorry if I'm stating the obvious but have you installed the demo licence? it's a separate .reg file.

my initial impression of pitchfunk is that it's in similar territory to spectrumworx in it's sound-mangling capabilities, but with a more accessible and comfortable ui - first impressions though...

Fantastic plug-in that I'll definitely be buying shortly. I have a few observations, though, that might be bugs:
- hit flat
- switch to the modern delay line, sync to quarter note
- set feedback to anything over 50% (higher is better, otherwise it takes a while)
- horrible digital distortion ensues. Is the plug meant to sound like this?

Then, only 0 and 100% on the fx mix knob seem to produce in sync delays. Anywhere between the two points can be quite out of sync. But I suspect that this may have to do with my lack of understanding of what, exactly, this knob does. So, if at all possible, it'd be great to see a flow diagram of the plug-in's modules. The manual mentions the rather fluid topology but I'm having difficulty visualising or understanding it.

[edit: this is in ableton live 8.2.8, os x 10.7.4]

Well, thanks for stating it anyways: missed that! I think new license distribution has been curtailed pending urgent fixes though...

Welcome to the informal public beta phase. I'm sure DMG can get it sorted. I almost waited, but I wanted check this out as soon as possible... warts and all, I guess. It's cool and unique, although it doesn't bring much to the table for what I do. That said, not much does.

I like having the assortment of pitch shifting modes, and the modulation matrix is very nice. Is there anyway to make the LFO's free run? That would be good, though I kind of understand why it can't. That is, if it can't. It's weird that it always seems to be the stereo GUI, even in PT as a mono plug-in. Also strange is that being stereo, there doesn't seem to be a way to cross.

It's a hog on my Core 2 Duo 2.4 macbook. It chokes at L/R in some of the shifting modes, and forget about that extended thing in the prefs. The assortment of shift modes are all it would really bring to the party for me, though I did think there might be some FFT/PVOC choices. I guess that's what spectrumworx, soundhack pvockit and GRM Spectral are for.

After the kinks are worked out (or in?), it looks to be great for crazy business remixing, sound design and the like.
