Best Mac VST Tape Delay

Hey guys, here's a weekend question for Mac VST (not AU) users:
What do you think is the best VST tape/dub delay for Mac? (Non-UAD, please. I own a UAD card, but don't have money for theirs right now, although I suspect theirs are the best). I've been trying as many as I can, but haven't been too happy with anything.
I'm looking for something that sounds like Bionic Delay*, that pleasing degrades long delays into interesting new sounds, along the lines of the long vocal echoes in "Animals", by Pink Floyd. I love Waves H-Delay, but its long feedback repeats are kind of dull, or turn shrill and annoying quickly.
Any ideas? What do you guys use for interesting dub delays? I'd be open to combined-effect suggestions also.
*I know it's kind of ironic, as Bionic Delay is based on Logic's internal tape delay, but I don't use Logic or any AU hosts; Mac-VST only.

Hey Resonator63, thanks! I tried GS-201, and that was definitely one of the best. I forgot about Dubstation, although there is no demo.

Don't forget AD do a full refund if you don't like the plug-in.
GS-201 is nice though.

No tape saturation unfortunately in this one but for Dub, maybe you can give a try to Le Masque demo.( + since this video was released we added several things like adding the filter in the feedback loop )

Thanks, Lotuzia. I demoed the 1.0 version awhile back, maybe it's time to revisit!Lotuzia wrote:No tape saturation unfortunately in this one but for Dub, maybe you can give a try to Le Masque demo.( + since this video was released we added several things like adding the filter in the feedback loop )

i remember well the "dragged down by the stone, stone, stone, st..." passage of Animals and IMO this little freebie might fit this need rather well !

Wow, totally forgot about this one. I'm going to download it and give it a shot!
EDIT: this appears to be AU-only. Thanks, though.

Good call! I'm on a tight budget (free-to-$40-ish?), but I will pick that up one day. Maybe I'll give it a demo now, to compare.Kaboom75 wrote:Echoboy
