I am having a lot of fun with this program.

I really have come up with some good stuff, I just need to know how to get this all right.

How can I adjust the volume of a whole pattern, and not just the individual samples.

Also can I copy the whole pattern, name it a different pattern and then edit the the pattern, so I don't have tore do the whole pattern every time.

I am training myself to play lead and rap simultaneously, it's working out. I have come up with a few good songs so far. I feel like I could finish them too.

I also wanted to know of some good drum samples, maybe acoustic. An upright bass, some piano... Wood winds.

I also will be plugging my electric guitar in.

Of course there is Google, but discussions are much more human.

Thanks, I'm fretting.

1) assign the samples to the same mixer track
2) if you put the pattern in the playlist, click the icon in the upper-left corner of the pattern. then click "make unique"

Remember to take a look to the FL Studio Guru tutorial videos.
A nice amount of tutorial videos for tricks and tips.

Good luck with this marvellous Daw.

Excellent tutorials from beginner to Pro and more tutorials very well made and in depth better then Image tutorials!
This is tutorial 1 and starts at a very beginner level and with each tutorial it gets deeper. By the #4 and 5 I discovered stuff that made me rethink about FL once more. I'm beginning to think that it's really a monster program covered by piles of unjustified criticism from fanboy attitude from other DAWs. After these tutorials you may turn around and maybe never look back.
Good luck and enjoy your DAW. :D

Remember it starts at very basic and goes up with each video to uncovered material that no other DAW can do......

I'd strongly advise you not to put loads of samples/instruments on the same pattern. It makes structuring and arranging songs very complicated.

It makes much more sense to give each instrument or sample its own separate patterns. There are a few cases where I'd say multiple samples per pattern make sense, but those are exceptions, not the rule.

If you are looking for good drum samples, I would recommend first, just checking out some of the stuff that comes with FL Studio. Explore the drum machines / samples included. You probably won't like them all, but there are some usable sounds in there. Ultimately I'm betting you won't be satisfied with the limited drum material supplied with FL. I eventually picked up Native Instruments Battery 3 (which will run as a VST inside FL and is included with a "KOMPLETE" purchase). While I like, and still use Battery 3, I also recently picked up Native Instruments Maschine. Maschine has it all, and I probably won't be buying any new drum stuff for a while. If you just want drum samples, check out loopmasters.com

For pianos, I use the pianos that came with Kontakt (also included in "KOMPLETE"). I also am using the 8DIO Legacy Steinway Grand for Kontakt. I don't own the next two, but Native instruments also released a new upright piano "The Giant" and they also have a piano called "Alicia's Keys" (both pianos are Kontakt libraries). As a matter a fact, you can probably find whatever sound library your looking for through NI or 3rd party Kontakt library producers.

If you want free stuff, check out Camel Audio's camel player. It comes with a factory library that has some fun stuff in it. Also check out NI Kontakt Player (also comes with a free library).

Thanks, there has been so many songs I wanted to write, but because I can't use this I am loosing them.

Most of it comes from my lack of drum skills, once I get really good I'm going to make better tutorials because I feel most of the videos on youtube aren't professional.
