it mimics the logic feedback saturation better than some others.

obviously you realise the logic one is the worlds best sounding tape delay by far.

try the tal, not one and two, just 3, and 32 bits only i'm afraid.

audiodamage dubstation is a superb product also, the feedback sat is not the BEST, but usable.

softube tube delay is usable.

Something out of those three will get you going.
Thanks, ttoz. I didn't care much for Softube, but I don't think I've tried TAL DUB III! Good call.

Hey, nice tip! Thanks! :D

GSI's GS-201 has been mentioned a couple of times, but there's also WatKat, from the same developer :)
There is also the excellent "Echoes" from NomadFactory, and PM-Echoflex from Plug & Mix (used to be called "Don'tCrack").. both are 64-bit.
Also worth the free asking price is the re-issued (64-bit) version of Steinberg's Karlette.

(btw, unless I am mistaken, Kingdubby is AU only, and the OP asked for VST ;) )
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

WatKat! Free? Brilliant! Downloading now.

I tried the PM-Echoflex, wasn't terribly impressed, although that is a nice little bundle, overall.

Karlette, well, I used to use that a lot in the SX 1 days, but I was disappointed when I reinstalled the new re-issue. Definitely not what I'm looking for this this kind of tape regeneration, but it can still be a useful multi-tap.

Thanks!

rp delay can not do the proper tape delay saturated sound at all sorry.
if you say so
we cant all be golden eared super pro mega audiophiles i guess
for £12 OP can do a whole lot worse than rob papen for dub delays

So it turns out, so far, TAL DUB III is almost exactly what I'm looking for! I was able to make a word modulate into a mushy, looped phrase with this after a few simple tweaks. Great recommendation, ttoz! :tu:

RP-Delay is very sexy too, I'm seriously eying that for a day-to-day delay! Very cool.

I find the Le Masque very confusing; that's a real tweaker's delay. I'll have to spend some time with it, I would think it could do something similar, with some tweaking.

This has been very educational! Thanks, guys. I love that you can count on some good advice on a Saturday! :D

If you have a midi controller, map TAL DUB's controls to it. I lost myself for almost a whole night with one vocal loop and fiddling with the simple (but highly effective) couple controls.

Ooh, I'll have to try it out!

Whoa! Quinto for the surprise!

Now is that only Roundtone 3, or is that a delay/loop fed into Roundtone?

Post

It is just the new Roundtone 3.

Now it is built inside a delay loop. The whole tape machine is in the direct and feedback loop.
This lets you manage how delays evolve (through existing parameters and new wow and flutter, flange, noise).

The loop is preceded by the new "B" enhancer (the old noise reduction to-tape high frequencies compressor, you know).

the famous dull "B" tape noise reduction system. i assume?

I think I love you, Quinto. :hyper: :P

And Roundtone 3 is not ready yet, right? :help:
