It is a new license, but there will be a discount for existing license holders.

I'm liking the sequencer, I probably don't have time to fully learn it, but it looks like something I would like to use when I get time.

The MIDI input should have some default setting, that would save me time as my drumset stuff has remap already.

I would like to see more presets, not sure how many, enough to get a good feel.

Thannks for the feedback, RunBeerRun. I will have default mappings and more presets when it's officially released.

Bought drumsynth about month ago...didn't know that version 2 is on the way...would wait othervise...
Any chanse for free upgrade in those situations Xing?

Looks like DS2 doesn't work in Studio one 2...no sound output and some strange access violation errors.

Thanks Xing. I haven't had a chance to try the new beta yet, but I was quite impressed by the previous one. Will try this evening and leave feedback.

I also have no problem paying for an update - it's obvious a lot of work has gone into this. Still excellent value IMO, and probably the best sounding drumsynth I've used (and I have a few).

The upgrade price will be the difference in price between the two versions.

I haven't spent quite enough time on version 2 to do the survey justice, but I will...this thing is GREAT. Just bought version 1 last month, no regrets. Usually I don't care for built-in sequencers but this one is ace, just tweaking a knob or two can transform the rhythm. I sense some kooky beats coming out of this one. And there's the modeling, which I've barely gotten into but of course it sounds great, lots o' variety and potential. I'll be ready for the purchase.
A request that would be neat but not essential: midi output.

I was trying to create something less tedious than note by note programming and more creative than using beat libraries. You're seeing the result. It can be fun to just twist the knobs and see what comes out.

It should already be able to output midi assuming you've mapped the pads to midi. I will add default mappings in the next release though.

Alright, thanks man! One thing - when I'm mapping my midi control to the pattern triggers, only certain notes work...I think C(C1, C2, etc) and maybe E work...I havent had access to my computer in a few days, sorry. But the rest of the notes AFAIK won't trigger anything. I was using TracktionKeys as the "keyboard". Also tested it on the piano roll keys in Podium, same thing. Am I missing something?
This thing blows me away regardless, cant wait!
