I think Dave posted while I was writing. I never would have guessed resting. What is that, anyway?

The demos sound like a Spinal Tap solo. I will download the demo now and try it with Electri6ity.

I'm perfectly fine to pay less for the Beta-version of a Plug-In but then I would like to be informed that I am actually buying a Beta version. A simple "Sorry guys, we rushed it a bit" would definiteley improve my attitude towards PF for now

A burned-out Dave would be of no use to you!

i would instead like you to have a minor reality check and exercise a little bit of personal accountability!
you followed this thread like the rest of us
and from following the thread (assuming you read whats being said) we knew a couple of things;;
they were not expecting to release it for ""a week or two"" from the onset
then a day+ later dave said ""within 10 days""
and then approx 3 days later it was released
basically it was released 1+ week earlier than initially expected
everyone posting in this thread from the early pages of this thread is fully aware of that
during which time krzysztof said this about the beta process;;
""No, it's a closed beta.
Also, nobody but Dave and I have seen/used the final beast yet - the earlier betas are pretty rudimentary compared to the version we're working on for release. ""
so are you really trying to tell me you were expecting a bug free 1.0 release ?
seriously ?
lets also mention the fact that DMGaudio provide fully functional 30 day demos of all their products (occasional mail server/spam filter quirks not withstanding)
and yet you still want a formal informal apology for the relatively minor bugs present (for some) in this discounted 1.0 release ? to make you feel better ?
maybe you'll get it and maybe you wont, but i certainly dont feel you deserve it.
next time use the demo, or write the experience off against all those preset sales you make by being the first vendor to start spamming product announcement threads with your own commercial presets & sound packs.

There's ALWAYS something that slips through the cracks with the 1.00. That's why we do the first month discount. I'd be far more concerned if there was seemingly nothing wrong. I have two emails about bugs (both from patchpool), and you can be damned sure I'll get everything fixed.
In testing, it was rock solid for us, so I took the decision to put it out and save everyone waiting- end result is a few bugs listed on here that would likely not have shown up during the extra week of testing, so now I can get em fixed sooner. I think that's good for everyone, but I can't be sure I'm right. Maybe we would have found them? But, reading this thread, there seem to be a lot of happy people, and, end of the day, that's what I'm trying for
Dave.

Fair enough, I should have probably kept my mouth shut which I will do from now on - just thought that not being able to actually install the Plug-In on Logic/64-Bit without crashing the validation tool and then having to work with a "incompatible"-version was not a "minor" bug that could have "slipped through", that's all. I never expect a v1.00 to be bug-free, after years of beta-testing for various companies I'm not that naive
Good luck with PF anyhow!

It's an interesting effect but I already have Reflex Pro 2 which does many of the same things and is a bit cheaper. There've been quite a few creative FX released since xmas such as Xils-Lab's FX that have absorbed my cash so perhaps that's why I'm holding back.

Hey, where's the pitch shifter with the different algos in Reflex Pro? I've been using it, but I must have missed it so far. Guess it pays to read the manual.munchkin wrote:It's an interesting effect but I already have Reflex Pro 2 which does many of the same things and is a bit cheaper. enjoying the demo a lot, great fun
a sidechain input option for the env. mod would be super nice!
one thing i'm not keen on: why does the playhead in the lfo/env window change to match the phase offset position? seems counter intuitive, and i can't see a reason for it.
shouldn't the playhead stay in sync with the host tempo, and the blue layer offset can be the visual clue to match with the playhead-to-grid... ? hope that makes sense...
