... and I hate having to switch to a non-inline, non-interactive app (regardless of whether it's another iZotope app or not) from Iris.

"Spectral Repair is not supported on this host."lightsfadelow wrote:rj0 I'm not sure what you are getting at. RX2 can be used as a stand-alone app or as plugins and is meant for a very ifferent purpose than Iris. One is an instrument, the other is a spectral editor/repair tool. RX2 is designed properly for its use. Erik was asking about a tool that could edit several minutes of audio content, RX2 is a fine suggestion for that purpose. That doesn't take anything away from Iris, which is meant for a completely different use case.
Actually, iZotope has had one for a few years now, lightsfadelow wrote:If it were a spectral filter, it would be an effect plugin not an instrument plugin. But I do like the idea of a spectral filter effect. I suspect it would be very hard to build such a thing, though, since you aren't loading samples in this model, you're processing arbitrary audio as it enters the plugin in realtime. I'm not sure what you'd show as the frequency spectrum to draw on... maybe I'm just not smart enough to figure it out![]()
There seems to be someone from iZotope watching the Gearslutz forum but the Iris-thread over there is dead sort of...Jake Jackson wrote:Is Izotope always so silent? No forum. No one checking in here. Seems odd these days.
