Yeah, that's the right spirit to approach it :hihi:

the kid plays better than I do !

Children annoy me. They're noisy. It's unsurprising that a kid would find an annoying synth sound so appealing :-p

That rant aside, this kid maybe has the right parent if he ends up musical. My parents were like anti-musicians & it did me no good. So, way to go for you kiddo :-)

just love the way she starts crying when she loses
the patch, lol (she's so bang into it)

Here's my son. He just managed to create the most luscious lead, yes he did :hihi: but then proceeded to play it using a block chord... We need to sit down and learn what a mono synth is all about. :hihi:

My parents were anti-musicians, too. I wish I'd have had the opportunity in this age to play with such a synthesizer...

BTW, do you notice that the noisier the synthesizer is the quieter is the kid... :)

Seems to help better than TV...

aaah...mine wasn't too impressed by the Rogue when he was 18 months.
held his interest for a little while...then he headed over to the
desk: all faders up! where are we going, Dad? his mum was most displeased
when i got him to talk into an octaved-down mic effect....

I should post the track I recorded of my friend's 3 little girls (4-11) playing about in my studio. Imagine that kind of thing but they're singing Katy Perry's Calfornia Gurls all in a wacky twelve tone style.

My two both always make much more useful and intresting sounds than I seem to ever be able to make myself and indeed mztk man, Love a mic plugged in with anything non-normal sounding to talk/yell into, Ring mods seem to be my 9 year old's goto voice mangler with some down or up pitch shifting also (Luke is bigtime into Doctor Who so it might explain the Dalek style sound he goes for?) and my 7 year old's voice thing is just random (Molly is into everything and female of course which is probably why She is into all sorts).

 I have and still do save synth presets they have happened upon by accident all into a folder for my own use. Thats how naff I am at dialing in any sounds on any of synths available to me  I stick to playing the guitar whilst they do synths

I am proud of them both though for being such an inspiration daily :tu:

Great stuff :D

Great stuff indeed....watching our sprogs play with our electronic gadgets is bliss. I can't wait for my brood to grow up a bit so that we can have a proper jam session. My wife wants my kids to become lawyers, doctors, and such, but I'm convinced that my genes will prevail (oh yeah!) and the path of a musician will be the more tempting option. :D Even if my son is a bit petrified by some of the sounds emerging from my room: "Daddy, is this a monster?"... "no, it's only a Dubstep bass wobble", I reply. :hihi: Watch out Skrillex. My son is onto you. :-o :hihi:
