Not sure of how many other Geo Synth lovers there are out there, but I saw this announcement for a new app from one of the developers of Geo synth:

Keeping my fingers crossed that this app makes it through the gauntlet. Looks pretty awesome.

So this is not related to the existing softsynth called Cantor?

Micro tuning is the future! Err, past...both!
Can't wait for this

Does not appear to be related to Cantor softsynth (different developers, very different product). The developer chose the name to honor the mathematician Georg Cantor. The interesting thing is that VirSyn also makes ios apps (Addictive synth)...

Yup; potential for confusion there.

If this app works on the iPad, it's pretty much an instant buy for me. Geo Synth is, by far, the most playable control surface that I've come across for the iPad.

Ironically they do make a sort of cut down iOS version of Cantor:

I did not know that any other synth developer made a synth called Cantor. Hopefully I don't get grief from the AddictiveSynth guys about it.

AlephOne got collisions with a graphics API, the continuum that Georg Cantor refers to as AlephOne .. "continuum" seems like it steps on Haken. "Geo Synthesizer" (turns out to be an awful name when you consider how search algorithms work) was named "GeoSynth" then we noticed that Google searches returned Microsoft GIS product; which was supposed to be called Pythagoras, but that name got taken by an unrelated math app.

I could step on a keyboard and name it after that, and I would get some kind of significant collision; even with something actually in the app store. :-(

Don't worry... if they release something beyond iVoxel they could always call it iCantor...
