Dull? It is just the to-tape part (the pre-processing going to tape) without the opposite expansion happening in the deck.

It is a strong dynamic high frequency enhancer, with a special sliding filter, with the advantage of a control on the sensitivity of the detector. really opens the highs if well set

It is just the new Roundtone 3.

Now it is built inside a delay loop. The whole tape machine is in the direct and feedback loop.
This lets you manage how delays evolve (through existing parameters and new wow and flutter, flange, noise).

The loop is preceded by the new "B" enhancer (the old noise reduction to-tape high frequencies compressor, you know).

I find the Le Masque very confusing; that's a real tweaker's delay. I'll have to spend some time with it, I would think it could do something similar, with some tweaking.

Actually we heve added in the last version the possibily to use Le Masque like a regular delay with a simple on/off Masque bypass Button

Its similar to a single Mask covering the entire grid area, but more easy to handle, and also to make comparisons with/without Masks

Then, to see quickly what kind of unique things Le Masque can do, just throw it to process a simple DrumLoop, then browse presets and see/hear what happens and it will give you an idea of the underlying power. My first use for Le Masque is to add everchanging , but under control, subtle modulations to Keyboards or Pads parts, but the Drumloop test has more immdediatly visible results.

Also all parameters are Midi Cc controlable, so you can get some really dramatic effects using this in addition of all the other possibilities.
