Hey,
so I've been looking at this for a very long time now.. I actually bought Nexus 2 for MAC and sold it a couple of months later (it contained an eLicencer and came without presets).
Now, looking at the homepage of REFX, I see that, if I'd like to have the full version of Nexus 2 on MAC, aswell as all the expansion presets, that would cost me €2.169!!! (2,743.20 USD!!!!). Alright, it's a great rompler and all that. But REEEEEALLY? 2.169EURO?
And even without trying it!
So, I was wondering, if there's ANY possible chance to get this to MAC, WITHOUT having to pay the ridiculous amount of 2.169Euro....
I'm not asking for a crack or so, just wondering what you guys would have done, or if there's any alternative to Nexus 2, because it DOES contain some sweet sounds that are really hard to get with some other synths, unless you are extremely pro at designing sounds yourself..
thanks

i bought nexus alone for around 250.
then, month by month, some expansions.
you do not need them all to start making sweet nexus music.

You've got a point there.. but it's kinda sad to be limited, and what's even more sad is that it's costing more than any softsynth I know, out there..cyphersuit wrote:i bought nexus alone for around 250.

btw, I wonder.. is iLok and eLicencer the same type of key? I really don't want to have 2 different usb dongles in order to run the softsynths..
if not, is it possible to merge these two together in some kind of way?

ilok and elicenser are two different things.
having ilok1, ilok2 and elicenser means for me to be running around with three dongles.
unfortunately, you cannot merge licenses to one usb stick.

My advice is really simple: learn to program the sounds you want on the Virus. Invest Time instead of Money, learn a skill and eliminate the need to keep on buying expansion packs and silly romplers that provide the latest whim.

or
u-HE Diva & ACE for bass and arps
U-HE Zebra for anything
Soundtoys native for effects
Omnisphere for pads
Adam Szaboo has amazing trance & dance presets for Zebra http://www.adamszabo.com/zebra2-soundset/
Loads of presets you can buy for Zebra for dance music and Omnisphere has alot of amazing pads if you are not ready for programming synths yet in Omnisphere you can choose samples to layer together. Soundtoys native is great for changing the premade sounds of synths so you have your own sound.
Soundtoys can run in a 64bit DAW with Jbridge if you're using Windows.
