I believe it's because of the manual and dvd disks.Ashe37 wrote:They have copies of the boxed software left and most people who are new to buying Logic are aware of the app store and know it is cheaper there... (especially if they google for prices...)hibidy wrote:What does that mean?
Yes...the manual is another 200usd, and the disks are 100usd.
Sounds like a fair price for those items.

Who specifically?jontah wrote: I'm a HUGE electronic music follower since 7 years back and I've been following most of the artists on twitter, facebook, youtube, etc etc. And I've noticed that EVERYONE is moving from either Cubase, Ableton or FL to Logic, why is this?
I keep seing status updates "moving from Cubase to Logic today! Lets see how it works out", etc.

i have similar complaints about Best Buy, and most places. For me it's an autism thing. i hate noise. Even my cats drive me crazy sometimes. But jeeze, Chipotle? The only Chipotle i've been in on a regular basis was in Ardmore PA and they effin BLAST music in that place. The little boxed-off separate room is the only acceptable place to eat in there (if they have the music off in that room). i'd rather do take-out than listen to the noise (music AND people) in a Chipotle. Do they all have the same big open space design? That's part of the noise problem.braj wrote:I totally avoid BB now, I have auditory hallucination issues (a few too many long strange trips) and it is literally painful and bewildering to go there. But it seems many, many stores are like that nowadays. I pick my restaurants based on the music they play almost as much as the food it seems (my favorite is Chipotle, always a 80's alt'ish station, Talking Heads, New Order etc).hibidy wrote:I realize I'm not a youngster anymore but ffs, is there some kinda statistic that says "if you turn everything up really loud people will buy more shit?" Just makes me want to leave.

I think I'm going to have to go make my rounds tonight
I really need to get another drive and I've put it off. BB has the one I want but I wonder if frys has it cheaper (though I doubt it
) Frys isn't as noisy usually (I don't even know if they play a general pa music) but they have gone WAY WAY WAY downhill in selection. Could it possibly be they are in trouble??
I think though I'd like to go to BB just to see their macs. Me? Seriously interested.........
No, but I want to look.

Yeah big open design, but I only go there in the middle of the afternoon when there are few people there. Actually I was there today and heard Bob Marley and the Jackson 5. It was pleasant actually.

I went to an Apple Store recently and that place is weird. More employees it seems than customers and it seems they only have 3 or 4 different products
I really likes the new Garageband on iPad and had to leave before some real desire to buy one overtook me. I need a new PC not an iPad and they are nearly the same price.
