you have to download the license as well. Read you mail again.stixman wrote:Downloaded demo yesterday still waiting for license?

Okay, when you said "I downloaded the demo", I had assumed you'd received the mail. Did you send a demo request (demo links are sent out per mail), or did you sign up for the mailing list "by mistake"?stixman wrote:The only thing i have received is confirmation of subscription! i have been checking emails spam etc but no sign.....no reply from DMG either....

Setting dry/wet to 0% should give you a dry signal, assuming there's no modulation beneath the dry/wet knob (there should be a column of 4 0% values under dry/wet).samsam wrote:samsam wrote:Any chance somebody could answer this simple question as to whether I'm misunderstanding dry/wet or whether this is a bug on my system?
If you set dry/wet to 0% and there's no modulation and there's treated audio coming through, send Dave your sequencer, version and OS with steps to reproduce the bug. If he can see it, he'll fix it.

It's most likely that you're in MS or LR mode and the "other" channel is doing something...Krzysztof Oktalski wrote:samsam wrote:Setting dry/wet to 0% should give you a dry signal, assuming there's no modulation beneath the dry/wet knob (there should be a column of 4 0% values under dry/wet).samsam wrote:Any chance somebody could answer this simple question as to whether I'm misunderstanding dry/wet or whether this is a bug on my system?

Obviously that's in stereo mode; in L+R or M+S mode you've got individual control of dry/wet on both the channels, so you treat both separately (by clicking on the left/right or mid/side buttons on the left).
When I'm working on L+R or M+S presets I usually work in Stereo mode until I'm ready to add stereo information, then I switch to L+R/M+S and make the changes.

Another classic is inserting it on a mono bus and expecting the 2nd channel to do something. I've fell foul of that one a couple of times.DaveGamble wrote: It's most likely that you're in MS or LR mode and the "other" channel is doing something...

Heya, suthnear wrote:Delay times are still out for me. With a delay setting of 500ms at 120 BPM, the delays are around 460 ms apart (when they should be 500ms). I get similar results (although closer to 465ms) with the delay set to 1/4DaveGamble wrote:v1.01 out now
Lots of new stuff and fixes!
- Fix synched delay times
As a sanity check, Valhalla freq echo on the same channel produces delays at 500ms for both synced and unsynced delays.
I've tested this now - setting the delay to 1/4 with v1.01 is bang on against Valhalla, maybe a sample in it.
Setting the delay time to 500ms is, strangely, not the same thing; there's a latency through the shifter, necessarily, so the delay time for the unsynched delay is what you ask for; at 0, it's 0 (depending on the algorithm), plus 288 through the shifter (which is reported to the host to be latency compensated).
I'm not sure those synched renders are with 1.01. Can you check your version number?
Between 1.00 and 1.01, I simply subtracted the 288 from the delay time, to ensure that the route through the shifter and delay was in-time.
Also, there's a little phase delay through the filter; to increase precision, choose a topology that keeps the filter out of the delay line.
Hope this helps!
Dave.

ValhallaFreqEcho has a 12th order phase differencing network in series with the delay line, so that will add a few samples of delay - the delay will vary with frequency.DaveGamble wrote: I've tested this now - setting the delay to 1/4 with v1.01 is bang on against Valhalla, maybe a sample in it.

Thanks, some things are behaving differently and better today, but I unfortunately have less time to play. I've had no audio loss yet, and the envelope follower seems to be back. It may have just been the threshold setting like you said, and I have to admit that my testing was not very methodical. I do seem to recall that 1.00 would show one of the LFO's upon instantiation. 1.01 starts up with the async rise gated preset, or at least that's the one that's checked, and displays the follower window. It's possible that I just wasn't used to seeing nothing going on in that window. I'm still troubled by the CPU load for sync forward new, in particular. It seems to more than triple sometimes and not go back.DaveGamble wrote:Can you send me a patch that doesn't have the envelope follower working?antithesist wrote:All Funked Up In Funkytown 101
Well, just some, I guess. The envelope follower isn't working upon instantiation. I noticed this right away, but just now got back to it. I can get it to come back sometimes by going to a preset and then flat. In doing that, I also lost audio. This time it was to the point that I had to restart the computer to get it going again. I would get audio in bypass, but re-instantiation or even restarting the host wouldn't bring the audio back. Are you resting up for 1.02?
Are you sure you're not using the default (-7dB, quite high) threshold?
Do you see audio in the window?
If in doubt, set all the controls in that window to default.
Losing audio sounds very strange. Can you send me a patch from when audio has stopped?
Cheers!
Dave.

Ok, I just deleted everything and redownloaded the demo to be sure. The delays are definitely out of sync on Live on my system.
And then I remembered - I'm running Live at 48kHz because of Silent Way (long story). When I switched to 44.1kHz the delays sync when the FX Mix is at 0%. With FX mix at 100% (Delay (FB), Filter topology, Gain post input and fx mix post filter), the delays are around 7 ms early.
I tested the following other delays: freq echo, audio damage dubstation, ohmforce ohmboyz and Live's simple delay. They were all spot on at both 44.1kHz and 48kHz.

That sounds right! Fx mix 100% there will give you the pre-shifted signal which is about 7ms earlier.suthnear wrote:Ok, I just deleted everything and redownloaded the demo to be sure. The delays are definitely out of sync on Live on my system.

If you need precision delays, you just pick the right topology for the job -as you have done
Sounds like you might have uncovered a sample rate issue though- will investigate.

Bingo! Was driving me mad but you nailed it. It all appears to be working as expected now - I use the term loosely, there are still many unexpected things about PFDaveGamble wrote:Krzysztof Oktalski wrote:It's most likely that you're in MS or LR mode and the "other" channel is doing something...samsam wrote:Setting dry/wet to 0% should give you a dry signal, assuming there's no modulation beneath the dry/wet knob (there should be a column of 4 0% values under dry/wet).samsam wrote:Any chance somebody could answer this simple question as to whether I'm misunderstanding dry/wet or whether this is a bug on my system?
