Slate Digital FG-X iLok driver issue--is this a standard problem?

Bought this on sale this weekend, but can't get it to show up in Cubase 6.5. I have an iLok, and the license dropped right in there with the rest of my ilok licenses, no problem.

But unlike the other ilok stuff I have, the plug just doesn't show up anywhere, no matter what I do. The .dll file is in the right folder, I run as admin, etc., but still nothing.

On a reboot, there was a message about needing updated Pace drivers. I know there's an new type of ilok out, but do I need a whole new ilok to run this thing? Will getting new drivers work with my current ilok? Where do I get the drivers, and if I do, will that affect the other ilok licenses?

You need an iLok 2 for the new Slate's plugins, I think. But first, try to update the drivers, that's the first thing to do with newly released plugins.

No, afaik it also works with iLok1 (the one you're holding, I suppose).

No, afaik it also works with iLok1 (the one you're holding, I suppose).

You are right, Slate's VCC needs iLok2 but FX-G seems to work with the old iLok too.

Yes, I suppose you don't need the client in this case since that's just to synchronize your computer and iLok.com

I'm not crazy about ilok evolving to a version 2 if it means I have to get another one, but in this case, version 1 is fine. Just updated the drivers and I'm good to go.
