If you like ME80, Messiah or Memorymoon, but haven't decided which to buy or just haven't taken the plunge, you should check out Mixcraft Pro Studio 5. The price has been reduced to $99 US (from 199), and it includes licensed versions of ME80, Messiah and Memorymoon in addition to all of the other Mixcraft goodies (Messiah is part of the basic Mixcraft). Pro Studio includes more effects and loops plus the Pianissimo 250 megabyte piano. Pianissimo is actually a hybrid sampled/physically modeled piano. Neat features include being able to open/close/partially close the lid of the grand piano and sympathetic resonance that can be added in a sliding scale from none to a whole lot. If you purchase Mixcraft Pro Studio 5 from Mixcraft now, you get to upgrade to Mixcraft 6 (download) at no charge. Mixcraft 6 just became available a little over a week ago. It includes support for multi-output VSTs, better support for VST parameter control, sample reverse and lots more loops. I put a quickie review up on Amazon. I expect to supplement it later.

Note - Mac users are left out of the Memorymoon synths. If you only have a Mac, I suggest you check out the Korg Legacy Collection, especially Mono/Poly. The Korg Legacy synths respond to poly-AT.

Mixcraft is now at no 6, the home studio version costs just $50 including Messiah (which costs $30 to buy separately). So that is a nice little deal there.

To get all three Micromoon plugs with Mixcraft you need to get the Pro Studio version which is more expensive at $150

The ME80_extra bank was updated from 62 to 112 patches today. http://www.memorymoon.com/downloads.htm
It is basically solo sounds, pad sounds and short percussive sequencer sounds. The best patches are Sigur_Ros 1 and 2 and Taurus_earthquake in my opinion. All sounds are meant to be played with aftertouch. It is a shame that so many keyboards have been released without aftertouch this year. Yamaha MX49/MX61 and Korg_Mini and a lot of others. I am very interested in the new CME portable polyphonic aftertouch controller: .

Paul Roach bank for memorymoon was expanded to 103patches. The bank is very experimental with lots of modulations. It is difficult to set the patch volumes. I try to set them low to avoid clipping when playing all 6 voices at the same time, but if you only play 2-3 notes at the same time you can increase patch volume a lot.

Does anyone know why there is no place to buy the ME80 on the website? Clicking the 'Buy or demo download' doesn't bring you to anywhere to purchase it. http://www.memorymoon.com/me80.htm

Now that the ME80 is for Mac as a 64 AU/VST, it's time for me to buy this thing, if the website would let me.
