Insane? What kind of bad behaviour!tommyzai wrote:You guys are insane. It would be ridiculous NOT to mention Diva as it's considered the best analog emulation. If you are comparing #2 and #3, how can you not mention #1?manandmusic wrote:Totally agree with you!xamido wrote:For Godsake, For Once, please stop the Diva comparison. The question is Saurus or Minimonsta. Why must every synth thread be hijacked by Diva, even one that is so obvious like this one?

Both great synths. While minimonsta does some amazing things, and it's sound is top notch, I'd recommend saurus in terms of approximating analog authenticity/"magic"/whatever people would tend to call it.
But it really depends what you're looking for in the sound itself, because they both sound great, and minimonsta has a specific minimoog character to it, where as saurus has a different flavor, and to my ears, just a little something more in terms of the liveliness of the sound and the multimode filter.

oh man, but Consequence is freakin' awesome..braj wrote:I'm actually selling my Sugar-Bytes Consequence license right now in the Market and think I may just buy Saurus once it is sold. Then maybe, just maybe, i won't be accused of being a Diva-worshiperthough I probably don't need another VA but what the hell.

my god, man... where the hell do you get all this money to buy all this software?braj wrote:See, I just bought Xils 3 LE and it is a HUGE hog, I installed the PolyKB II CM too and again, HUGE HOG, they are both worse than Diva on their average patch, they are just as bad on their worst, but I don't care, the end result is justified and it is my own old computer that is to blame for being slow and won't be mentioning them again, I'm not putting them down, but you NEVER bring up their CPU use![]()
I only say it to highlight that you have something personal against Diva, some competitiveness that comes through even when you are being diplomatic. You may not be an employee but you are affiliated, you mention that (sort of flaunt it) again and again, and at least in that regard you have a biased vested interest and you should be careful how you represent yourself in connection with those companies, especially how you mention their competition.
Diva (or any other synth) can be mentioned by me and anyone else in Instruments, not just the 'Diva forum' and again, you are not a cop that should be telling people what to post and where, that is for the mods to determine.

Yeah I know just I'm not using it much. I am on the fence about selling it and if no one bites then that is OK.bailees7irish wrote:oh man, but Consequence is freakin' awesome..braj wrote:I'm actually selling my Sugar-Bytes Consequence license right now in the Market and think I may just buy Saurus once it is sold. EDIT: ok I decided against selling it but am asking Sugar-Bytes to trade the license for Guitartist (they switched me from Guitartist to Consequence, that's how I got it in the first place , I hope I don't piss them off!)
