Seriously, don't try it, it is just sooo bad...a waste of time to even demo it.
Every other reverb is much better.
WHAT?!!! Why I oughta...*shakes fists at laptop screen while muttering incoherently*
seriously, you have just had lots of forums just about valhalla reverbs
CSR vs valhalla , Valhalla reverb 1.02 released etc

Do you have to be in everyone??

i think the OP is trying to get an idea for not just the ones that everybody knows about and dont need telling anymore. We already know how good they are, i just think people get tired of hearing and reading about it so often. Like the latest song that everybody likes at first until its played to death on radio then everybody starts to hate ever hearing it in the first place :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

I appreciate SD a lot too, Convolution engines are quite handy in some aspects IMO and in the case of reverberations, i appreciate some very typed IRs that won't be so instantaneously easy for me to create similarily with algorithmic reverberation units

Dang. It looks like I may need to do some retooling on my next plugin, ValhallaEarwürm.

I did a reverb shoot out a few years ago (before Valhalla existed) and I soundly came to the conclusion that Virsyn's Reflect was quite a bit better sounding than anything else in it's price class. (I didn't even try the Lexicon)

However, I'm the only one who thinks that.

Well, I reverse engineered two of my favorite verbs so now I proudly own my new custom hybrid reverb :

ReverberHalla

Don't try to compare it with anything on the market. soft OR hard. because there is NONE.:uhuhuh:

It is the best. period.

I'm going to record with it the Foo Fighters and we'll remake old hit of them... it will be called "Hall my life"

No, the question is the best reverb.

Hint: if a response has more than one reverb in it, they're not paying attention to the title of this thread.

If I was really REALLY pushed to pick one, this would be it. As much as I love others I have, this one is what I go to when I want something special.

Yes, but the opening post reads:
So whats a good reverb plugin, I use logic and the space designer is good but sometimes its a little off to me..any suggestions or favorites here?

And I'm looking for one that would be good on a main lead once the track drops (my genre is mostly progressive house), not so much like an atmospheric type reverb.
So there is certainly room for both interpretations.

In any case, I don't understand how a particular reverb can be 'best' in the way, say, a power supply or a water heater or a shop vac can be 'best'.

Seriously, I hate to be the subjectivist hippie of the group, but isn't taste in reverb kind of like taste in color? Can blue possibly be better (or worse) than orange?

I suppose that if we used an actual room sound as a standard, and then compared various attempts to nail that sound we could talk about 'best', but why would we want to do that?
