I'm not into dubstep, but this still looks/sounds very interesting. And, I still have a refer-a-friend discount to use, so I just may have to take advantage.

Shall we believe Tone 2 were unaware of this? Your choice.

Just had a quick play with the demo.
Can't say I was overly impressed.Maybe just not my cup of tea.

I'm in two minds about this, having tried the demo, but overall, I have to say, it's a really well made package and it'll appeal to a lot of people, beyond the zombiestep crew (Torley likes it, come on...)
I'm also glad to see the "Wobble Generator" isn't just a dumbed down LFO, far from it, it actually sounds like something I've occasionally wanted on a synth myself at times. And that knob with the dial on it is pretty intense
Also, great idea combining a synth with an FX sequencer! That's an instant solution to a lot of current music right there. (right the-e-e-eoow ow ow ow t t t there, etc.)
Synthesis-wise, I like it, but not sure if it can really do anything that I can't already do with my bajillion synths and FX stuffs (bigseq 2 and truc for the win!), but I do like what's there. This seems like a synth designed to integrate a common set of processes and make them easier and quicker (not to mention unified in presetspace), but I'm sure it can be pushed to do some crazy new stuff.
Also, the grain table thing reminds me a bit of Padshop, especially the formant shifting. Pretty cool to have that alongside the other stuff in Cyclop.

Graintable, so it would be similar to Maelstrom in Reason ? I think that's a graintable too. It's one thing I really wish I could rip right outta Reason. That and the scream4.

I tried the demo and found it too complicated to get my head around. Some of the bass presets sound awesome but I wasn't too impressed with the synth and pad presets tbh. Where a bit of distorted agro can really bring a bass sound to life I didn't think this type of effect worked so well on other sounds. Distorted and randomly pitched lead sounds don't seem to work in a track like sounds lower down the register might do.
I think this synth is a bold move and if I could get to grips with it, it probably offers incredible one button sound manipulation. I think Sugar Bytes should really push the boat out and upload video demos of this synth in action and tutorials to help make sense of it. Then it might inspire more confidence in it. As it stand this synth has just crept up on us and seems to be hiding in a corner which is ironic for such a potential beast.

It probably has great potential if you can get your head around it.
I've too many that i'm already trying to get to grips with to bother at moment.
But it is bold and different from the current trend and i'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Ok, one thing I'm hugely not a fan of in this is the compulsory 4x unison on the oscillators. I think many basses sound better without unison. There some really cool sounds in these oscillators, so it'd be nice to hear them without smudging... Of course, you can set the detune to 0, but then you end up with four copies of the sound, all with different phases, which is going to be different every time you load it (and even heavily phase-cancelled in some cases).
Not only that, but it's that horrible linear detune spread, where it doesn't take long for all the wavefronts to line up and coincide with eachother.

I really like it. I've already knocked out almost an entire song using it.
This fits in perfectly with a project I will start soon, so I'm biased for sure.
I have VA covered, and this thing is ..wild..

I like it but again the GUI is almost too small on my 23" moniter. So much detail in there I have to lean forward to see what's going on in the smaller stuff. Sigh...
Besides that so far so good. Long live digital!
